san marino topping the group is a hot take. but i think they can actually do it
I’m going to put a few quid on that one. Other than the Faroe Islands they are probably the best of the Mino, remember they scored in a World Cup qualifier in 1993 against England in 7 seconds, a match where England had to win by 7 goals to qualify, it finished 7-1 no British teams went on the plane to USA 94, Rep of Ireland did, then beat Italy 1-0 in the group stage with player born in Scotland scoring the winner 😂

Don’t let Gibraltar and Liechtenstein being terrible in the groups fool you. San Marino will be lucky to draw in this group. They’ll definitely not top it if Lithuania are in the group

Gibraltar will be cracked. They have a youth team that only lost 1-0 to The Netherlands, beat Moldova 2-1, *beat Liechtenstein 8-2* and has a player currently going invincible with the Man United U18’s squad, trains with the senior squad and I bet he will get promoted to the senior national team as well.
Gibraltar are climbing up the ranks, let them cook a bit for a minuscule nation.

Nah, they won't, because 99% they'll also top the world cup Qualifier groups, which means most of the playoff spots will go to group winners from League B and League C, as well as some runner-ups... The playoffs will be between nations league group winners and second placed teams from the European wc Qualifier groups, and the likes of Spain and Portugal will most likely also top their wc qualifier groups, qualifying directly...

At last you have put us (Bulgaria) at top in your predictions, I am glad about that, as you usually are very likely to predict right. :)
It will be a very tough group for us, no team is to underestimate, including Belarus, Luxembourg has some very talented players now and Northern Ireland has always been a tough opposition for everyone. But I think Bulgaria has some young talented players as well - Iliya Gruev from Leeds, Filip Krastev from Zwolle and Kiril Despodov from PAOK, for example. So, my hope is that we will actually top the group and your prediction will come true.
It's somewhat sad the downhill trajectory Sweden has been on when they were holding their own against the likes of Germany and England. 2-2 comes to mind in the World Cup 2006.

Bulgaria are unpredictable in the moment. They can lose basically to almost any team, but can also surprise any opponent, like they did Hungary Serbia. I was surprised you put them first, thought 🙀‼️🌟 I do hope my homeland wins at least second place. Belarus are a really tough opponent for us, and we mostly get to a draw with them. Luxembourg are also going to be tough to beat. I haven't watched Northern Ireland recently, but Bulgaria shouldn't take any team here lightly. I'll be a bit less optimistic, and hope that Bulgaria is at least second in this group, and third at worst.

I think it will go down as the worst team not only in La Liga (breaking Sporting Gijon's 13 points record in 97/98 season), but also the whole Big 5 Leagues in modern history. Derby County with 11 points in 07/08 Premier League season might be broken as well.

Best change in international football since NL started. Much better than regular friendlies. Good for B,C and D category clubs and good backdoor for qualifying playoffs.
C-League Group1 Sweden and Slovakia battling for 1st place. Interesting to see does Sweden´s bad form continue. 2 Group should be easy for Romania. Group 3 Luxembourg definitely has potential to be first. Northern Ireland and Belarus are tough but still. Bulgaria has been mess about last 20 years :D Group 4 is most interesting so even.

I think Portugal will run away with it but it’s going to be very, very close between the 3 other teams and it could well end up with one or 2 points being the difference between coming 2nd and getting a quarter final spot or ending in 4th place and going down. We have to win our home games in Glasgow, with Warsaw being our last game it’s in the same stadium we drew against Ukraine to win our last group to get in the top league. History will repeat itself 🤞

@@dariussalepetru6770 I think that will probably be the right order tbh, I would just like Scotland to stay in the A league that has to be the goal and I think we have improved enough and earned the right to be in there, we will get better because most of the core players in the squad are under 30 and playing in England. Some are regular starters at the big clubs like Man United, Aston Villa and Liverpool with a few exciting young guys coming through as well.

The reason NL is tough to predict is because there are no minnows in any group except the groups which are all minnows.

No they officially released the format for Uefa world cup qualifires 2026. An amount 16 teams from europe will qualifie. 12 groups of 4 teams will be drawn after fifa world rankings. Only the tops of the groups (12) will qualifie directly. The 12 second places plus the 4 best group winners of THESE 2024-2025 nationsleuge season (16) will be setted into 4 diffrend pathways of 4 teams considered each. (Play offs). A Path or Play off way is drawn with 4 teams where there will be 2 semi finals and of course a final. All 4 play off tourmament/finals winners will be added to the 12 groups winners so all 16 teams will qualifie for the 2026 world cup to represent europe. The next nations leuge will be about euros 2028. Nations leuge is just a leuge system in europe with friendly national matches in diffrend levels. Plus makeing the friendlies more competetive and exiting. The team with the best performances will win. So there is an extra exclusive title in europe generated. But the most important thing are the Qualifires system which is built up by the nations leuge. I am not a big fan of it but it makes not to much unsense.

San Marino as the worst team in the world is so harsh seeing as they compete in Europe to qualify for tournaments
When it comes to Kosovo, the form of our team has been because of our football federation making horrible decisions with coaches. None of them have had a job since leaving, but our very first coach (he was from Kosovo). That is the reason why we can be unpredictable, drawing twice with Switzerland but losing twice to Belarus 😮💨 all we need is a serious coach, then I think we can significantly improve.

As an Israeli I can confirm that we’re finished I can’t see us getting a point in this group after losing to Kosovo and we only got here because of the war in Ukraine but I don’t know we already beaten France away
We got a difficult group, There's no denying that. But I can see us maybe getting 3rd place against all odds. Israel is in a great form, with players like Solomon, Gloukh, and Zahavi who has just come back from international retirement this October. If we get 4th, we can at least say that we played against those european giants.

I don't think he is disrespecting poland, as portugal is very strong and croatia even if they are out of form always deliver. The only team i think you have a chance of beating and getting 3rd place is scottland who are in the form of their life and with the current form of poland who did horribly in the euro is normal to see scottland as the favourites to get 3rd place.
