I’m super excited the Bj Penn, Luke Rockhold and the White Max Select graded high. I sent you those. I was hoping you would grade the cards I sent you! It’s really fun to see how they graded after keeping them so long. I sent them to the right home! I knew you worked at RVCA so I thought you would like the Penn card with Parillo. Congrats!!
Rick!! Sorry I keep forgetting you. I got quite a few packages from people who watch the channel around that time. I need to write down which cards people send me. I’m so happy with all those cards and how they graded! Thanks again man!
Howdy Joe, unreal GSP! Congratulations. Round 1 is so tough. Moment of Truth is a tough one as well, a lot of chipping and surface issues, definitely on brand for 2009-2012 releases. Main Event was the third set made, all of the base cards have that holofoil finish. A great set featuring the debut cards of many in the incoming WEC class (Faber, Cerrone, etc) -Cartel
Thanks Joe for taking us with you on the reveal, love watching these vids, always anxious but excited. Funny you mention about Michael Bisping, I was always a fan, watched his entire career, won a championship, but I have no cards of his, strange, might rethink that. Did you watch his doco Bisping from 2021? Worth the watch 👍
For me, it has a lot to do with the look of the slab. I want to display these cards and I don’t like how SGC or Beckett slabs look. I do like TAG slabs but they don’t resell
This is why I think grading companies like BGS and TAG are better than PSA. They'll tell you why you got the grade you got. I know PSA sells for the most but for no reason, it's frustrating.
I agree that it is nice to know why you got the grade you got. I personally don’t really like BGS slabs and I plan on displaying most of these cards so I need to like how the slabs look. My issue with TAG is really just the resell value. I think they are too new of a company. So I still like PSA the best. Plus I’ve heard PSA is going to implement “grader’s notes” at some point in the future so hopefully that will tell us why we got the grade we got.
Yeah. The edges right out of the pack are pretty bad on most round 1 cards. Its amazing the any of them can get a 9. You get that gold Rogan graded yet?
Grade one card at a time for best results, l cannot state this enough. Graders do not enjoy grading bulk submissions of cheap or mediocre cards, it annoys them, they see the same crap over and over and over and over and again. If you send in an interesting card in great condition, it shows how much you as a collector cares, and shows you arent just trying to make a buck or two off redundantly graded cards. They will cook you on grades for that quick flip mentality. They are not stupid, and they do know how to grade very well, but they will never reward quick flippers with good grades in bulk submissions. And bulk is anything over one card in their eyes. Thats as real as it gets brother
Laugh all you please. I dont speak on any subject unless l have tangible experience, and a wealth of it. Anyone speaking without experience is a narcissistic retard. I have graded hundreds upon hundreds of coins. Anytime l have graded coins in bulk, and especially many of the same denomination, graders tend to average grades out. So l've cracked the same coins to experiment to see if grades go up by submitting one at a time, so there arent coins of the same type to compare and contrast to. And what do you know, the grades increased 92.6% percent of the time. And yes l keep diligent records of everything, and that number is accurate. So when l started grading cards a few years ago, l only submitted one at a time. I dont send in cards that l know wont grade well to begin with. This isnt a game of hoping and praying. I know how to grade well. I never recieve a grade lower than 9. And l never submit a card worth less than $500 dollars. I have watched thousands of submission videos on youtube. You bulk submitters of cheap cards cards never learn your lesson. Everytime you get a submission back from grading, youre always baffled and say the graders dont know what they are doing or are having a bad day. Hey dudes, l have something to tell you...the graders know exactly what they are doing and you jimmies cant figure out what your doing wrong. Get smarter, or quit grading, youre not good at it.
I recommend taking pictures of the cards before you send them to see if psa fucked the card up. I sent a poirier lightning strike that was perfect, came back an 8 with a mangled corner that wasn't mangled when it left my possession.
Damn that sucks dude. That’s a good idea about photographing the cards before you send them although I’ve heard that PSA won’t even take those photos as proof because they will just say the cards could have been damaged in transit.
@JoesCardStache yea you're pretty much screwed if they cause damage. I do it more for my peace of mind. Did I miss that or did the mouth breather at psa damage it cutting it out of the card saver type thing
Hey Hey!! Nice cards my friend! Hope all is well!! Happy collecting!

LETS GOO! MAY THE GRADING GODS RAIN 10s UPON YOU
Thanks man!! 👊👊

Thanks for the info! I really enjoy the challenge of finding clean versions of these older sets but it’s not easy.
Damn Man was wishing for more 9's and 10's, great vid Joe next psa return gonna be a banger tho!!!
Thanks Randy! I hope so!
Thankfully you were able to get a few 10s 🙏🙏
Honestly I was really hoping for 9s on the round 1 cards. That’s my mission these days.
Damn that Dan Hardy card is nice!! Glad I found your channel, subbed for sure!
Thanks for subbing dude! Glad you liked the video.
Good stuff Joe! I just sent a Bisping RC in to BGS. Hopefully I get that 8 at least. Bummer on those 7s.
Good luck man. Let me know what you get!
GSP! Still a sick card, definitely need one of those in my PC eventually.
Overall a fun order, the red of the Rd 1’s really pop with the PSA red!
Thanks Zac! Just bought another raw GSP to see if I can get a 9. One day it will work.🤞

Thanks for watching Matty. I haven’t seen the Bisping doc. I’ll have to check that out.
Wish you hit some more 10s bro but these are some sick cards bud! 🔥 👊 🔥 Nice Manon bud! Have the same one but not graded. 👍
Thanks Cloudsey! Yeah I was really wishing for some higher grades but you can’t win em all. Thanks for watching!
Man how PSA is king is crazy to me

LFG Joe !!!!
Thanks man! 👊👊
Awesome video Joe. /288 rd 1 should always sell well i think. BLESSED IS BEST BABY
The chewed edges on a lot of these round 1s are really tough
Yeah. The edges right out of the pack are pretty bad on most round 1 cards. Its amazing the any of them can get a 9. You get that gold Rogan graded yet?
Not bad, a couple PC disappointments...best of luck going forward, Joe!
Thanks for watching Biz!
Nice vid man. My order is taking forever! Says by end of July. Hopefully that means they're giving me good grades lol. Was this order from NJ?
Hey Brendan. I think this order was from Cali. It didn’t have the NJ return label. Good luck with your order!
When people crack cards and resubmit does that fudge up the numbers of graded cards?
Yeah I think it does.
4:03 I'd love to get one signed by Coach
I’ve got another copy. I’ll try to get him to sign if I run into him. I never know what color ink to use.

Hahaha. Have you worked as a grader at PSA? You seem to really know how they do their shit. Or are you just guessing?
