The network used to be the diva powerhouse, even forming their own famed trio La Diva (Aicelle Santos, Jona, and Maricris Garcia.) It only went downhill when management focused on comedy shows replacing the usual Sunday variety shows, plus ASAP getting more popular because of the new gen of singers. I'm glad Gma is bringing back their reputation, albeit slowly but surely. So yes, Gma had always been good at developing good singers, it's just that their management sometimes neglect the artists causing them to transfer to other networks
