It must be tough being the only Filipino in the school and especially since he is still in his early developmental stages in life. Feeling like an outcast in a homogeneous society like Korea definitely changes his worldview and the view of himself. Hopefully one day he grows up embracing his Filipino roots tho. He is still young, so much to learn and grow to self love and acceptance 😌
@J S I understand why ur bullied, with the communist China bullying the Philippines and all, Filipinos tend to vent that frustration to chinese here in the Philippines. I don't know if you have the same mentality as the communist China but bullying is still not ok. For me, if it's just words thrown at u, I treat that as just teasing and I'd throw words back at them.
@J S nah any type of bullying is unacceptable. Not everyone have the same tolerance to stress they received from other people. It's either they learn from it or screw theirselves more. Eitherway, bullying fucks people up. If you say psychological bullying is a blessing then you're just justifying bullying itself.
@J S Bullying is wrong whether you overcome it or not. Though it makes you strong for some but it also leads to mental health problem to others and in some worst case "death". I feel sorry for you for what you had experienced. There's a lot of Filipino's today are mad to chinese and I think you already know what's the reason. Take care and always remember that some Filipino's don't really hate you and all chinese. Keep safe.
@J S The way you wrote this does sound like you've earned hatred. I hope your fine. Must be bc your Chinese bc your country is a bully.
Especially remember that bullying goes so hard in korea, like mate most of the one who suicide are under 22 all the time, its either school pressure or bully but mostly it's both. It really pains me seeing someone being bullied/discriminated because they look different. For those parents who have racist kids, shame on you. You should be the first one to teach them how to be a decent human being.
I agree. Those kind of kids lack good manners and right conduct which should be taught first by their parents. My kid goes to an international school and is exposed by other nationalities and I would tell her to never discriminate a person base on nationality, religion, color of the skin. But at the same time remind her to never feel inferior and be proud of her nationality and who she is; and base her admiration on the character and integrity of a person and not on his/her country’s gdp, personal wealth, or popular opinion.

I hate how the hosts constantly say that he is like an ordinary korean child. First of all, he is not. They should have let the children feel that being a foreigner is not a sin. There is nothing wrong with that. Like what the other guest said being different does not make you weird. The children does not need to be similar to korean children so they can be seen in a more favorable light. Tbh, the elderly and the media make the children's internalized xenophobia and racism worse.
Because he's just a child. Even Gabriel wants to be called Woobin so he could be not be an outcast. You can't just say "You're Gabriel. These bunch of Koreans who also rent in the same place suddenly stopped talking to her like they were back in grade school, their mentality goes way back in grade school. She wasn’t even related to them. Lol that’s all I can say.
Ps. My dear classmate in grade 4, I tested her intelligence, I asked her if she can write me a Chinese essay, and she told me they weren’t the same. I was confused at that time, she doesn’t look any different at all to anyone around us, but mostly her chin. Lmao. She doesn’t have a great personality either. She always asked money and never pays them back, cause like I said, she was supposed to be a high school student, scamming grade 4 students. She isn’t great looking, second her personality sucks. I mean, the Taiwanese at that time has some weird clothing style back in the 90s, but they look way better than them, also some of my classmates who were from China has some weird sense of style back in the 90s. Yeah, whatever, I was born here tho, as a Chinese fil. Was talking about my classmate who just migrated, and their style. They know Tagalog, but not fluent.. Lol. Again just saying. Lol. ( yes, this is all in manila ph. )
@@alas2210 You've made this comment a lot. Do you have some weird fixation on little girls? It's not healthy. Also, you sound like a complete douchebag. Not really helping your argument (if you have one). Bitter incel who worships Duarte, maybe?
Damn this hurts so much because i've been a supporting all these korean groups since i was 14 (im 27 btw) and these people just straight out bully him for something he didn't do. Don't raise racist kids. Racism starts at home.
He's handsome and I lowkey feel NCT Lucas vibes on him
if the kid trained under sm then he may be part of nct in the future,,, NCT PHILIPPINES lolol
Oh, I hope Gabriel accepts his name someday. I know he's still young so he feels isolated or an outcast if they calls him his real name. His name is his identity, so ...
He kinda looks like lucas also a tan version 🙂
I just read that Philippines and Korea has a deep friendship begun at the time of Korean war wherein there are a lot Filipino soldiers died at that time for the freedom of the people of Korea. That is why these two countries has a deep rooted cultural exchange and close ties with each other.
team sports are so incredibly important for boys/young men. some of my best memories as a child were on the soccer field.
Hes a handsome boy.. and responsible big brother
I kind of feel bad for treasure, I hope he don't get anxious too much 🥺
Embrace yourself being Filipino, Be proud boy. 🇵🇭👍
He look like mark from nct
Not so much but they do have similarities, they do have quite similar personalities tho haha
Hello, A minute watching the video, I saw that the flag was flipped (red - above, blue below). I hope that the editors would change it and be careful next time. Because it indicates war, which we are not experiencing. The correct position is that the blue should be on top, while the red is in the bottom. That is all thank you, I am hoping you see this.
Korean educators and the adults must teach the students about inclusiveness and empathy
I just watched his vlog the other day and youtube recommend this also. I didn't know he was bullied because he is happy and have many friends in his school.
Prejudice starts with the jealousy of the few. Some people thinks that they are better than others. It is neither Filipino or Korea, this applies to all humankind.
Ngl Gabriel could easily be a hearthrob in my highschool 🤗
the fact that kpop and kdrama were famous internationally specially in PHILIPPINES. So, if all of the Filipinos decided to BASH them, what will be the results?
If his skin gets lighten, he'll pass as korean, a handsome korean. But be proud of your heritage kid 👍
Don't worry Gabriel your better than them, don't feel sad we are here for you proud Filipinos
One time when I was in my first and second year of college my former classmates discrimimated and bullied me for being a Filipino-American, cause they were jealous of my nationality. That is why I had to change courses to avoid the issue and I still hate people who don't accept my nationality as a Filipino-American student
wow even in america?filipnos were discriminated?I thought they accept every nationality there
@@shasha8572 no what I meant is my education in my hometown not in america they discriminated about my nationality that I am a Filipino-American
"Bullied in the school just being a filipino boy"...
Nobody deserves being mistreated because of skin color, religion, nationality or whoever! This things sadden me a lot! 😕
Everytime I watch Korean bullied Filipino the don't even bother to check history
How important the roles of Filipino
To their country .
bullying Filipinos, is a wrong decision in life. Bro they can fight back, maybe they're are just scared bcs hes not in his country but i swear he'll fights back physically, verbally and emotionally.
I'm glad the mom speaks to him in English, at least he can communicate with his Filipino relatives in a language they know
We would like to apologize about the flag, it was an editing mistake. Unfortunately, we cannot re-edit it as the program is already finalized, but we sincerely hope you can understand that it really was a mistake and we mean no offense to Philippines, a country Korea loves. We will make sure this doesn’t happen again in the future! ☺️
