Beautiful interview.. it's like an Avant Garde of Zoom and Vogue 73 questions! Amazing how innovative that format must have been to that time. I loved the interview!
I love the way interviews were done, more freely and spontaneous, plus she's so delightful, so natural in her way of talking, i truly love her so much.
i kinda wish there was a talkshow that used the "vintage" (😅) style of interviewing celebrities. especially like in this one. maybe I'm just old fashioned but this just comes off so sophisticated and beautiful to me!
clearly, now they will scream and insult you like a drunken trucker because you implied they were " not classy" enough..proving your point immediately.
Young women these days are very vulgar. They speak about having sex and being promiscuous very openly. It’s just really embarrassing and disempowers them totally. Yet they think it’s the opposite.
The format of this interview was way ahead of its time. The large “satellite”-style screen format and the very open and relaxed style was well ahead - and she wasn’t being politically correct they way women always are in interviews these days! She was just completely herself. The way they brag always about being “strong women” (when they’re not). If you’re truly a “strong woman” you don’t need to shout it out. You demonstrate it through your class, your thoughts, your behaviour, the way you express and so on. Sophia was a true masterclass in feminine class and style.
The conversation on the original tape was likely on a reel to reel. It might have been transferred to a webcam later (at any time since the technology was available) but that was definitely a young Sophia Loren's voice, and the interviewer was definitely Edward R. Murrow. His voice was so famous, so distinctive, and *so* unforgettable, of that part there is no doubt. Even the interviewer (Murrow's) style is unmistakably 1950s. They never sound like this these days. Why the apparent skepticism in your Q-- just looking for anachronistic errors, like the technical nit pickers do while watching movies over and over, to point out the blunders or bleepers?

The most beautiful woman that walked the Earth. This should have over a million views easy.
Pure Gold.
Joan collins just trashed her. wow
She is beautiful, but I don't view her as the best. Sorry.

What a nice interview, she wasn't asked about her looks and the questions were interesting.
This type of interview was surely way ahead of it's time! Look at that large screen, the direction, etc!
My god, she's spectacular. Warm, sincere, bright, beautiful, graceful. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks for watching.
She became a great actress over the years - still is. How wonderful to see how grounded and smart she is at such a young age.
What a well spoken young 23 years old Sophia.

Wish 22 year old women were as well spoken and thoughtful as this queen
These days most 22 year olds are so obnoxious and have no class at all. All plastic.
@@Habeel13 yes, Im 22 and most girls my age are very immature and obnoxious.

Amazing interview altogether
She was incredibly mature at 23!
Very sophisticated at such a young age.
Is this WEBCAM conversation in the 50s? Tell us more!

Quite excellent production value for 1958!
Honesty is always special. The comment about having a peasant mind... Humbled beautifully...
