Grande tenore..una voce come un fiume fresco scrosciante e sempre in piena ...bellissima voce italica...amico di mio suocero Salvatore Sassu che purtroppo a Febbraio anche lui è andato via...chissà forse sarà proprio lì insieme a Raimondi ,Del Monaco,Di Stefano...i suoi tenori preferiti e amici a chiacchierare con gli angeli.Evviva i grandi che mai passeranno.

maestro gianni non son nessuno solo un umile allievo corista a bologna ...la ringrazio dei suoi suggerimenti e consigli anche grazie a lei posso cantare queste belle arie vanto dell'italia nel mondo con estrema soddisfazione e libertà ...mi aveva incitato a cantare da solista e la mia scelta è stata di non farlo a me bastava cantare imparare a farlo ...la ringrazio di tutto anche degli sconti sulle lezioni

Giovanni purtroppo nelle scuole non si insegna l'arte del canto così definita da Giuseppe Di Stefano, indiscusso patrimonio culturale unico al mondo. Pochi altri paesi possono vantare una simile magnificenza

His voice, smooth and warm in tone with a good coloratura facility and very strong top notes, was ideal for 19th-century Italian opera from Rossini and Donizetti to Verdi and Puccini and he rarely sang anything outside that repertory, apart from a few French roles and a couple of modern operas."

Well that is a bit of an exaggeration PonsellaLover. Taste is very subjective and you need to stop romanticizing the past. It is nice to have these videos available to us now but each generation has great singers. Let us not say there are none left.
