Just started watching your 2023 series a few days ago and im half-way through the second episode. Thank you for having an active channel and helping me learn how to make games!
Moving the commit to movement assignments immediately after their respective collision checks, instead of doing them together, fixes the corner-to-corer collision bug for pixel-perfect collisions. When they are assigned at the same time, you miss the 1px horizontal && 1px vertical case. (From an old Spaulding video)
Like, Sub, and spread the vid to other fledgling developers/ hobbiests! We don't have enough folks like Sky here keeping up to date videos (and well constructed tutorials) on game dev. Thanks Sky for keeping this updated, know your work on these is HIGHLY appreciated for educating us for free :D
@@SkyLaRell I'm very dedicated to realizing my game dev dreams lol. I can't thank folks like you enough in helping me get started :D Gotta spread the love! Do you have or plan to have courses on sites like Udemy? I would easily pay for dedicated in depth courses. Learning to code is hard af lol
I started off making a game with your old tutorial but ran into a bug i couldn't fix so after a month I'm trying this guide to make a small demo of a game as a 18th birthday present for myself ( my birthday is in October so i have around a month to complete the project ) (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) ⬇🗡 ( I'm also gonna watch over the garden wall while i code ) .
