My OC struggles with 5 pax and a 20hp with 10” prop. I’d be interested to see a “max payload” test on the OC vs Petrol. I want to go electric, but thrust transitioning onto the plane is an issue.
Interesting. Can you undertake a back to back maximum speed test. Then load each up with 2 passengers and acceleration test to maximum speed. The electric I guess will have much greater blade area. I've done a lot of bollard pull tests and they are an interesting evaluation, but not totally meaningful. Well done, great to see some testing on video though - please post some more!
The lady had 0 Idea 🤣. Most outboards come with the largest pitch prop installed. Put the small pitch on then the Mercury would blow it away. 6000w 90amp 48v outboards are only up to 12 knots max on a tender so not even comparable to a six horsepower 4smoke plus an extra person in battery weight. Yours is using up to 375amps . So 15 100ah 12v batteries lifepo4 🤯. So 150kg of battery for one hour use 🤯. You need to be doing this at 144v not 48🙈.

You should compare it to a 25 HP outboard. That is same power.
such good static thrust in the electrics. the future is near

Until the battery runs out and when the other guy has a spare tank of petrol.
