I watch a lot of your UTH videos, usually at 1.25 speed. I watched this one at 1.5 speed. It is a pleasure seeing a professional dealer and possibly card player as the dealer. 'Grats on the win.
Insurance is a bad idea no matter what. You need to look at it not per hand but per session for maximing your profits or more than likely minimizing your losses
I think you could brag and call this one a black jack training video. Your confidence to keep pushing and your self control are like second nature to you now. I’m adding the Rodney to my book because of you. Thank you for the great content always.
It's amazing how it seems the dealer position seems to get many more bjs than the player position. It makes me crazy
I’m fairly confident that the dealer screwed up by allowing you to surrender when he had a blackjack
yeah I think you're right.
I agree
Dealer was showing a queen and going too fast. Dealer mistake.
It’s called early surrender. And it’s how they do it there
Early surrender is when you can surrender before a dealer check on 10. Late surrender is when you can only surrender after the 10 is checked.
First of all, nice Riley hard 12 double!! As for 9:05 situation, if the side bet is Kings Bounty (or Queen of hearts back in the days), you Almost have the 1000 to 1 situation. I personally never seen this. Back to your question, 20 against Ace, insurance is a good bet if you want to win half of your bet, but the dealer can still have 21 (not blackjack) and you could lose insurance and bet. So I probably won’t buy insurance.
Sometimes I’ll take insurance if the count is high (+15 or more in a 6 deck game). Math says insurance odds is something like a count of +3 per deck for 3:2 BJ and 2:1 insurance.
Although it was a positive running count throughout, at that point the index was two-fifths of what the index would have called for to take insurance. Therefore he should not have taken it. In addition to that, nearly 3 decks ( 154 cards to be exact) were cut out of play before it was time to shuffle. With a lousy cut like that the game isn't worth playing.
I AGREE, the Rodney hand should become a part of the book😂 Somebody get Michael Shackleford on the phone!!! Loved the video today🩵🩵
If you can surrender before he checks for blackjack then you should surrender every hard 14, 15, 16 against 10 including pairs of 7s and 8s. Unlike late surrenders 14 (including 7-7) is also a surrender vs 10, and 8-8 is a surrender not a split vs 10.
Dealer just witnessed greatness, but he’ll tell the next player to just “hit” their 12 against 7
Nice recovery BOB!
Wow. The dream pair odds are terrible.
Whoa whoa good call Mr O'Brian
I hate, I, love, I’m jealous how lucky you are on the side bets!
Yes u should always take insurance when you have 20 😊
Double down on a 12 is a great play, I even double down on 13s. It makes sense if you’re going to hit anyways. Possibility of hitting Ace through 8 to make a winning or competitive hand is high. So, it’s definitely a good strategy in moderation. Good job.
I love a winning session!! 🎉🎉🎉
Very nice come up 💸
The rodney, insane
good come back.
It had it's ups and downs but it was still great session Brandon👍
I understand the desire to take the insurance especially as you win the side bet.BUT statistically it’s just wrong, you actually give up half your potential winnings 9 out of 13 times 70%. Don’t think about “protecting” your 20… think about losing half your bet 70% of the time.
Another great video 😁 have a great night nice wins
The roddney makes a comeback 😅
The Rodney is my new play
You just hit two amazing side bets for $1250, you never buy insurance and you've got a great hand, cost yourself $100 while on a roll.
I usually get insurance on a 20 cuz youre probably gonna win the hand so even if you sacrifice half your bet you're most likely will winning. I see it as a good option
Love the session, it would have been amazing if you got those 4s at the end but still amazing.
Very nice!
If we only knew
That was a good session
And two 625 on the side bet
That was great.. 🎉
if they have it at MSC or if you are in vegas, you should play face up Pai Gow!
12 is my lucky car to
you should try to play Fibonacci sequence betting. negative progression, pick a unit and bet according the sequence 1,1,2,3,5,8,13... you clench the buttchecks once you start losing 7+ hands in a row but rarely you see that bad of a shoe. big fat "rarely"
I insurance for less. So your case I would've done 50 or 25 just to get something back.
If I have 20, I take insurance bcs even if u lose insurance it’s kinda hard to beat 20 so u win atleast half money, tooooo many people lose their money bcs they are so in the book and by the rules, if before you can’t see many 10s then I also take with 19.
Quit gambling lol, it is a very dangerous thing that can ruin your life and those around you.
KK I think you made $100. Right move.
just wondering, you don't play double deck. Thanks
I do if they offer it
That insurance play was well thought out and was the right decsion. Great play.
Insurance bet rationale was bogus. Side bet winnings is totally independent. Effectively you used an even money rationale but your 20 was not a lock. Love your stream, most entertaining!
💛🧡💛😊
no never get insurance. even if you lose the hand by dealer blackjack you don't lose the side bet. so stick to basic strategy
Love your videos but bro nobody cares about your thoughts and breakdowns just play the cards you would play lmao damn annoying
Not true . But ya it’s not for everyone
@@MrBrandonOBrienI enjoy your thoughts and breakdowns!!! He can watch it on mute🤪
so dealer A 6 doesn't count as a 17?
Soft .. they have to hit
@@MrBrandonOBrien thanks for the explanation
