"When I wrote 'On My Mama,' I didn't feel like any of the lyrics," she tells Genius. "To go into the studio with a mind of self-doubt, self-judgement, and then for it to be one of the biggest things to ever happen to me, it just shows me God laughs at you. He’s like, 'You don’t know anything, watch this!'"
