I would like to respectfully disagree. A shield is a shield it’s supposed to block things. Especially when this whole game is balanced around having a shield. That’s just a shield doing it’s job I don’t think that makes it op. Matter a fact they’ve already nerfed shields to the point of them being barley useable to faster pace players. (If you don’t know what I’m talking about the shield is programmed not to block anything for 5 game ticks after you start holding it up. So all those times you could’ve sworn you had your shield up in time, your not crazy you actually did. The game is just programmed to not block anything in that 5 tick timespan) Also axes taking out shields for a few seconds is another way they’ve already been nerfed. So I agree with SB why not throw some piglin brutes in the trial chambers? Why not throw some angry piglins in there? And/or some pillagers of all types. I think that would make the trial chambers the challenge they should be. Or at very least spawn these types of mobs when trial omen is in effect. Because if you have trial omen then your purposely seeking out a real challenge and the current ominous trials just aren’t that. I think skeletons that shoot poison arrows is a big step in the right direction but with how slow they currently shoot, how quick the poison runs out, and how few mobs are agro’d on you it’s not much of a concern. Half of the mobs take each other out, that’s literally half of the work done for you right off the bat. On the topic of wardens SB is crazy ain’t no way wardens should be in trial chambers. You would never make it out alive (unless you went in with an inventory full of totems) And finally if you have armor you don’t even need a shield.. I did most of my first ominous chamber in hardcore without a shield because again the block delay makes them useless for anything but sitting in a corner and I don’t fancy sitting in a corner 50% of the time I’m in combat. I didn’t even have a chestplate on either and barley ever went under 1/2 health. I bet I could start an ominous chamber on full health full armor, tab out of the game, send an email containing at least a few full sentences, tab back in, and I’d be perfectly fine. They are simply too easy.

You can kill the Warden by spawning in a singular iron golem and repairing it with iron, so I guess the Warden is too easy because I can cheese it and fought it in a way it wasn’t supposed to be fought. I agree that they should be harder but his points he tried to make are just unfair

I'm not gonna go into too many details but the warden has an anger meter, each time you repair the golden the wardens anger meter increases on the iron golden, and once it reaches 150 anger (which happens pretty quickly like under 20 seconds) The warden stops attacking the golem and enters Angry warden mode. In this he does not give a shit who is near him he will HUNT you down, its either you die or let the anger counter go below a certain level, takes around 2 mins of running away without any noise. So the golem thing won't work unless you have at least 6 or 7 golems at a time healing all of them. Nice try tho

And I imagine a good chunk of those are children. Im sure a fair bit would drop bedrock if they had the choice. But both are good in their own ways.

As someone who plays bedrock, killing mobs is NO WHERE NEAR AS EASY NO sweeping edge. NO insane axe damage a shield that DOESNT ALWAYS WORK a shield we have to CROUCH TO USE and WEAKER HEALTH REGEN AFTER EATING And before you say “how could you know if you don’t play Java. No. I play bedrock AND Java, so I have experience in trial chambers with both. On Java it’s a BREEZE (I’m sorry 😂) And it’s much harder on bedrock (Hell bedrock is harder in general) FYI: this is coming from someone who’s a big fat nerd and likes to preserve the structures so I never box up or anything, only ladders for traversing.
I will say, before any java player comments "but you guys can spam attacks" I would like to prematurely deflect that comment, as sweeping edge is such a big difference maker dps wise, allowing you to hit like 6 mobs in a hit, while we only get to spam a single mob, essentially making bedrock pve harder.
@@Unplugged7 the sweep damage is bad. in almost all cases you'll still need to hit a mob about the same number of times to kill it as if it had full health, and hitting 6 mobs at once is a very unlikely scenario unless you're at a mob farm. What really makes bedrock harder is the regen, making you more of a glass cannon.
Yeah ominus trial chamber needs to be harder because we are starting it on our will and it hold the key component for best weapon they can add so many harder mobs like vindicator evokers or spawning bunch of mobs Illusioner could be great addition

i think the breeze is a tatical mob its the first mob to use jumping as a mean to escape in battle the blaze floats or hovers the breeze jumps and before it does detects u are able to hit it
I think they can continue with the idea of difficulty tiers for the various areas. Ominous trials. Ominous raids. I can fw it. Maybe also add some harder tiers to them that could challenge the more skilled players 'here and now'. But give players the option and ability to enjoy the content, regardless of skill level/sweatiness, even on hardcore etc. And then add some similar ways to initiate increased difficulties on other areas, which maybe could/would/should generate renewed interest in every raid area, without having to wait for plans for full revamp/reworks?
It's definitely really not challenging enough I expected it to be a trial; honestly I imagined constant mining fatigue so you aren't allowed to break blocks so easily and you'd think twice before placing blocks as they would take ages to remove.
That could fix the issue with being able to box yourself in, but i think currently if you were to play it like the devs intended it woukd be a bit more difficult
I think a solution to the ominous trials is to make specialized mobs. What I mean by this is make the mobs do a bit more damage and have a bit more health. Or have completely new mobs that are meant for just the ominous trials. And I do agree that they should be a bit harder
I've been playing a mod for some time with different structures with spawners in rooms that spawn buffed mobs, in order to progress you need to destroy the spawner so you can't just sit in a hole, this is a big problem with the chambers.
I'll tell you this im gonna be putting our seed and the trial chamber tomorrow theres literally a baby zombie spawner and they will 100% have a sword and alot of them have armor too thats how i know its a real trial
two thoughts 1 Mojang will never add wardens, piglin brutes, or iron golems to the trial chambers because it just doesn't make any sense with the lore of the mobs. I'm all for adding a new harder mob to the vaults but it would have to be new and attack through blocks like a vex or warden to wall the build up two blocks strat. 2 If the effect clouds dropped mining fatigue would personally be enough to double the difficulty.
I'd say they're as hard as they need to be. Some players are going to find them super easy, sure, but that's ok. Ultimately, a hoard of armored mobs is much more than your average player will be experienced in dealing with and fighting is ultimately not what Minecraft is about. It's about... you know... mining and crafting, so if you find it too easy, why don't you mine and craft materialize to build your own more difficult challenge rather than complaining that it's "too easy" because for most people, it isn't. It's true that there are definitely players out there more skilled than you, but ultimately you're the minority because most people who play Vanilla Minecraft don't interact with the combat system any more than is necessary for them to survive. Also, another suggestion, you said that it takes no skill at all to just place 2 blocks and then you're out of reach and then complain tat it's too easy, so how about you just... don't do that??? If you complain that it's not fun because it's too easy and are using a strat that requires no skill, then your complaint is invalid because you could very easily choose to have more fun by just not doing that. I'm not mad at you or anything, but I just find all your complaints and this whole video honestly so silly. I honestly had a lot of fun with the trial chambers by just charging in, activating as many spawners as I could, and then just actually fighting the mobs. Like, you complain that it's too easy with maxed out gear, and then people call you out for it, so to prove it beat with no armor while using a strat that makes the mobs unable to hit you??? Maybe you'd have more fun and be more challenged if you stopped using items and strats that make it too easy for you. You want to make the trial chamber so hard that it forces you to fight by adding Wardens when 1: That would make them completely inaccessible to people who aren't good at combat; 2: The Wardens were literally designed to not be beaten and to be avoided instead(Yes, you can fight them, but they weren't designed with that in mind; and 3: Once again, YOU COULD JUST CHOOSE TO FIGHT THEM RATHER THAN COMPLAINING THAT MOJANG DOSN'T FORCE YOU TO AND GIVES YOU OPTIONS INSTEAD SO IT'S MORE SUITED TO A DIVERSE PLAYER BASE. You want a structure with Wardens, Iron golems, and Piglin Brutes? Well, that's the beauty of Minecraft Baby, go fuckin' make one and stop making it everyone else's problem.
I think it would be super cool and add some paranoia to it if they added shulkers in the trials and had them coded in the texture of whatever block they are conveying and pop out to shoot you every now and then
what would be cool is if they made it so you can place blocks in the trial chambers but then they would have to redesign the layout so people can get around
I do have an idea for mojang to make trial chambers more difficult. If you drink a ominous potion v and weakness potion together it triggers another ominous event called "Doomsday". In this difficulty wardens, blazes, wither skeletons and other harder mobs spawn. Normal mobs spawn with diamond and netherite armors and weapons. Potion effects include only harmful effects to the player. Upon defeating them, you have a chance to get those netherite equipments and as for the loot pool, you might get any enchantment but with max level, a guranteed mace, fully enchanted equpments etc.
I just did an ominous trial with protection 4 netherite armor and got blasted by a bunch of zombies and baby zombies in armor from 3 spawners and splash potions. I only survived because i barricaded myself and drank a regeneration potion. The normal trial chamber was like the old dungeons and the caves on the way there were more dangerous and finding it was harder than the actual trial
Yeah solo, they’re not all that impressive. Once you start adding people though, they become truly unique. You can truly get overwhelmed by mobs, and that can really get chaotic, especially if friendly fire starts happening
All ominous trials really needed was a chance for enemies to spawn with things like speed, strength, regen, etc and maybe have some harming drop on you and it heals undead mobs anyway
Im kinda just disappointed that the potion dropping thing doesnt dispense poison. It can sometimes shoot poison arrows, but poison potions would go crazy with how many undead mobs are involved.
So cheese everything and make sure to be prepared for every possibility and it's "too easy". If you fight like normal it's really not that easy especially when you pop 4+ spawners and the breeze keeps knocking you everywhere and activation traps.
The hardest spawners in my opinion are the baby zombie spawners because they're so short and so fast and when they're popping out two to three at a time and you have multiple spawners all in an area when you have anywhere from 4:00 to 6:00 baby zombies coming at you even with fully kitted out gear they can still take your health all the way down and even kill you if you're not careful without blocking them off
The idea of adding wardens and angry iron golems is actually stupid Wardens are not meant to be killed and needing like 10 stacks of enchanted golden apples for a mace is stupid because you need to kill the mobs so you would have to kill at least like 80 wardens per ominous trail. Irong golems are way to big and would fall as easy as normal when cheesed, piglin brutes is a ok idea but i would rather some other mob because piglin brutes literally can't be in the overworld for even a minute before becoming zombie piglins. This is a prime example of why you shouldn't listen to everything the best players say because while he had some good ideas like more dangerous potions being used on you to discourage camping and a mob to break your shield, some of his ideas for a hard trial chambers, wouldn't make a hard trail chambers, it would make a death trap. A warden is a punishment A iron golem is a protector not a enemy And a piglin brute should stay in the nether
As much as I like your video, I'm a bit disappointed - I thought you'd go in no shield, no building, just skill and lots of will. You can trap the Warden in a little hole with trapdoors, Golems are defeated by a 3 block tower, and brutes have a lethal allergy to a single lava bucket. If you want to cheese a game mechanic, someone will find a way. I'd say what would really prove that the trial chambers are too easy is if you went through one with no hiding in corners or using shields - now thats impressive!
they should make the breezes able to slowly brake blocks. That would stop a lot of the cheese methods. they could also give the bogs special arrows that can break your shield like an axe.
@SB737Plus My takeaway from this video is that ominous trial chamber mobs should be able to fly and walk through walls. And not care about magma blocks and cobwebs. And be more tolerant of friendly fire.
they gotta make it so you cant place blocks when you go through the trial or at least any blocks placed have a time limit before they break. like 3-5 seconds before blocks you place break
the Breezes are annoying because u cant use tridents or bows or cross bows on them and they know how to avoid attacks that are from a sword and or axe and the mace they jump around
Maybe if the skeletons shot wither arrows it would be scarrier, since poison is more of a inconvenience then strong, you still take a lot of damage, but like you sayed, nothing that waiting arround doesnt fix. And instead of the spawners doing 1 type of mob it was mixed, like breezes with zombies, instead of zombies alone that would make it a bit more challenging. I will say, sometimes if you get caugh up off guard you just take like 5 hearts of damage (zombies with diamond swords) while you are using prot 4 diamond or above.

I will say, before any java player comments "but you guys can spam attacks" I would like to prematurely deflect that comment, as sweeping edge is such a big difference maker dps wise, allowing you to hit like 6 mobs in a hit, while we only get to spam a single mob, essentially making bedrock pve harder.
@@Unplugged7 the sweep damage is bad. in almost all cases you'll still need to hit a mob about the same number of times to kill it as if it had full health, and hitting 6 mobs at once is a very unlikely scenario unless you're at a mob farm.
What really makes bedrock harder is the regen, making you more of a glass cannon.

You should play in the latest snapshot which doesn’t need experimental features for the trial chambers. Or 1.20.6 which needs experimental features for the trials chambers.

i think the breeze is a tatical mob its the first mob to use jumping as a mean to escape in battle the blaze floats or hovers the breeze jumps and before it does detects u are able to hit it
How is having like 30 silverfish being trapped in a corner, with 10 husks with diamond armor and swords, and breezes hitting you all at once easy?
I think they can continue with the idea of difficulty tiers for the various areas.

Maybe also add some harder tiers to them that could challenge the more skilled players 'here and now'. But give players the option and ability to enjoy the content, regardless of skill level/sweatiness, even on hardcore etc. And then add some similar ways to initiate increased difficulties on other areas, which maybe could/would/should generate renewed interest in every raid area, without having to wait for plans for full revamp/reworks?

It's definitely really not challenging enough I expected it to be a trial; honestly I imagined constant mining fatigue so you aren't allowed to break blocks so easily and you'd think twice before placing blocks as they would take ages to remove.
That could fix the issue with being able to box yourself in, but i think currently if you were to play it like the devs intended it woukd be a bit more difficult

I think a solution to the ominous trials is to make specialized mobs. What I mean by this is make the mobs do a bit more damage and have a bit more health. Or have completely new mobs that are meant for just the ominous trials. And I do agree that they should be a bit harder
I've been playing a mod for some time with different structures with spawners in rooms that spawn buffed mobs, in order to progress you need to destroy the spawner so you can't just sit in a hole, this is a big problem with the chambers.
I think adding mining fatigue to trial chamber would increase the challange
I'll tell you this im gonna be putting our seed and the trial chamber tomorrow theres literally a baby zombie spawner and they will 100% have a sword and alot of them have armor too thats how i know its a real trial
two thoughts 1 Mojang will never add wardens, piglin brutes, or iron golems to the trial chambers because it just doesn't make any sense with the lore of the mobs. I'm all for adding a new harder mob to the vaults but it would have to be new and attack through blocks like a vex or warden to wall the build up two blocks strat. 2 If the effect clouds dropped mining fatigue would personally be enough to double the difficulty.
I'd say they're as hard as they need to be. Some players are going to find them super easy, sure, but that's ok. Ultimately, a hoard of armored mobs is much more than your average player will be experienced in dealing with and fighting is ultimately not what Minecraft is about. It's about... you know... mining and crafting, so if you find it too easy, why don't you mine and craft materialize to build your own more difficult challenge rather than complaining that it's "too easy" because for most people, it isn't. It's true that there are definitely players out there more skilled than you, but ultimately you're the minority because most people who play Vanilla Minecraft don't interact with the combat system any more than is necessary for them to survive.
Also, another suggestion, you said that it takes no skill at all to just place 2 blocks and then you're out of reach and then complain tat it's too easy, so how about you just... don't do that??? If you complain that it's not fun because it's too easy and are using a strat that requires no skill, then your complaint is invalid because you could very easily choose to have more fun by just not doing that.
I'm not mad at you or anything, but I just find all your complaints and this whole video honestly so silly.
I honestly had a lot of fun with the trial chambers by just charging in, activating as many spawners as I could, and then just actually fighting the mobs. Like, you complain that it's too easy with maxed out gear, and then people call you out for it, so to prove it beat with no armor while using a strat that makes the mobs unable to hit you??? Maybe you'd have more fun and be more challenged if you stopped using items and strats that make it too easy for you.
You want to make the trial chamber so hard that it forces you to fight by adding Wardens when 1: That would make them completely inaccessible to people who aren't good at combat; 2: The Wardens were literally designed to not be beaten and to be avoided instead(Yes, you can fight them, but they weren't designed with that in mind; and 3: Once again, YOU COULD JUST CHOOSE TO FIGHT THEM RATHER THAN COMPLAINING THAT MOJANG DOSN'T FORCE YOU TO AND GIVES YOU OPTIONS INSTEAD SO IT'S MORE SUITED TO A DIVERSE PLAYER BASE.

I think it would be super cool and add some paranoia to it if they added shulkers in the trials and had them coded in the texture of whatever block they are conveying and pop out to shoot you every now and then

I do have an idea for mojang to make trial chambers more difficult. If you drink a ominous potion v and weakness potion together it triggers another ominous event called "Doomsday". In this difficulty wardens, blazes, wither skeletons and other harder mobs spawn. Normal mobs spawn with diamond and netherite armors and weapons. Potion effects include only harmful effects to the player. Upon defeating them, you have a chance to get those netherite equipments and as for the loot pool, you might get any enchantment but with max level, a guranteed mace, fully enchanted equpments etc.

I just did an ominous trial with protection 4 netherite armor and got blasted by a bunch of zombies and baby zombies in armor from 3 spawners and splash potions. I only survived because i barricaded myself and drank a regeneration potion. The normal trial chamber was like the old dungeons and the caves on the way there were more dangerous and finding it was harder than the actual trial
Yeah solo, they’re not all that impressive. Once you start adding people though, they become truly unique. You can truly get overwhelmed by mobs, and that can really get chaotic, especially if friendly fire starts happening

They could also add a version of the witch specifically for the trial chambers that have potions stopping players from placing or breaking blocks
I think wardens would be a bit much, but I agree, the ominous trials probably should have more dangerous enemies.

All ominous trials really needed was a chance for enemies to spawn with things like speed, strength, regen, etc and maybe have some harming drop on you and it heals undead mobs anyway
Im kinda just disappointed that the potion dropping thing doesnt dispense poison.
It can sometimes shoot poison arrows, but poison potions would go crazy with how many undead mobs are involved.
sb: looks at strength potion and calls it a honey bottle then he realizes it's a strength potion and says "oh I just can't read".
sb: several near-death experiences due to being poisoned, then he looks at a "honey bottle" and decides it's worthless...
Compared to the wither in Bedrock, this is like a daycare.
So cheese everything and make sure to be prepared for every possibility and it's "too easy". If you fight like normal it's really not that easy especially when you pop 4+ spawners and the breeze keeps knocking you everywhere and activation traps.
I think the idea that the skeletons and bogged shouldn't attack each other by accident is good.
The hardest spawners in my opinion are the baby zombie spawners because they're so short and so fast and when they're popping out two to three at a time and you have multiple spawners all in an area when you have anywhere from 4:00 to 6:00 baby zombies coming at you even with fully kitted out gear they can still take your health all the way down and even kill you if you're not careful without blocking them off
The idea of adding wardens and angry iron golems is actually stupid
Wardens are not meant to be killed and needing like 10 stacks of enchanted golden apples for a mace is stupid because you need to kill the mobs so you would have to kill at least like 80 wardens per ominous trail. Irong golems are way to big and would fall as easy as normal when cheesed, piglin brutes is a ok idea but i would rather some other mob because piglin brutes literally can't be in the overworld for even a minute before becoming zombie piglins. This is a prime example of why you shouldn't listen to everything the best players say because while he had some good ideas like more dangerous potions being used on you to discourage camping and a mob to break your shield, some of his ideas for a hard trial chambers, wouldn't make a hard trail chambers, it would make a death trap.
A warden is a punishment
A iron golem is a protector not a enemy
And a piglin brute should stay in the nether

As much as I like your video, I'm a bit disappointed - I thought you'd go in no shield, no building, just skill and lots of will. You can trap the Warden in a little hole with trapdoors, Golems are defeated by a 3 block tower, and brutes have a lethal allergy to a single lava bucket. If you want to cheese a game mechanic, someone will find a way. I'd say what would really prove that the trial chambers are too easy is if you went through one with no hiding in corners or using shields - now thats impressive!
they should make the breezes able to slowly brake blocks. That would stop a lot of the cheese methods. they could also give the bogs special arrows that can break your shield like an axe.

the Breezes are annoying because u cant use tridents or bows or cross bows on them and they know how to avoid attacks that are from a sword and or axe and the mace they jump around

Maybe if the skeletons shot wither arrows it would be scarrier, since poison is more of a inconvenience then strong, you still take a lot of damage, but like you sayed, nothing that waiting arround doesnt fix. And instead of the spawners doing 1 type of mob it was mixed, like breezes with zombies, instead of zombies alone that would make it a bit more challenging. I will say, sometimes if you get caugh up off guard you just take like 5 hearts of damage (zombies with diamond swords) while you are using prot 4 diamond or above.
The higher the trial omen level is, the stronger the mobs are
I've been saying this since I first saw the trial chambers. They honestly are so easy.
