Worked with a guy that would take every little bit of copper the electricians would leave scatter on the floor, he would take it home with him in his lunch cooler. I go to his house many years later for a BBQ and he says " Wanna see something cool?" He lifts the lid of a deep freezer in his garage and says "Every day I come home from work I dump my copper in here, when it's full and copper is real high I'm gonna scrap it!" It was about 1/2 full at the time and that's A LOT.

Lol, before I got my current job in 2021, I started out as a plumbing apprentice. My first place was a new Tommy's car wash, electricians always left their shit everywhere lol

Well that's how I do it so I guess I'm doing it right... especially leaving the mess behind...
[TLDR; just a funny story about leaving the mess...]
Love that part, so... seriously, one of the generals we often sub-con for would prefer us not to bid for the added man-hours for cleaning as he sais he has site cleaners that work minum wage for that. It's really not a lot of man-hours for us to clean as we go though, because we just work over a cardboard box and let the box catch the mess... just a secod or two to move the box to the next node and maybe pick up a why is she or something that didn't make it in the box... but hey if the general doesn't wanna pay us to clean then fine, I can make a mess lol.
