depending on when their birthdays are (in this case after the filming of the show) they could also still be 11 and 7 which would fit more with how old they look
gary kon because pple r not used to it. just like when I moved to USA,pple were shock tht I spoke English weird. also, I always get shock when foreigners can speak my language. I'm just not used to it
Tracy Aung I'm talking about foreign people living in a foreign country for years for me it's a must that they must speak the language of the country they live... In that case I wouldn't be surprise if I hear them speak my language. But I guess Koreans are surprised when they hear foreign people speak their language so good with good korean accent as @sososorri said
gary kon well, I can understand y their shock. (rough trans start from 0:34) MC: John, how old are you? J: I'm 13 years old. MC: And Mac? M: I'm 9. Sang-ryul: John, Mac. How did you come to Korea? M: Because of dad's work. Woman1: Their pronounciation is very good. J: Dad's job is to fix computer in the air force (t/n: idk what 공군 is, sorry if i'm mistaken). Also before we came to Korea, we've been to other country. Bong-sun: Oh this is weird. I feel like someone is dubbing them. Mi-sun: So, which school do you go to? J: Jangdang elementary school. (To the kids) Please think carefully before answering, ok? (idk the concept of the program so i'm not sure what the mc mean by saying this lol).
so basically. they came to korea because of their dad's work (he does stuff with computers), but they travelled a lot before coming here, all the people on the show a freaking out because it sounds like someone's dubbing over the kids while they speak, the older kid's school friend is lee jihwan (which the judges laugh at because its a very korean thing to slow down your speech and clearly enunciate names), the younger kid still cant speak english very well but the older one's good at it, they lived in germany but forgot everything they learnt, anddddd i think thats all i should translate :-) edit someone already translated rip
Actually the boys are Americans originally from San Francisco. I've seen them in other videos and they speak perfect American english. Not sure why they said they were from Germany.
@@adamn7516 Because the panel asked which country they visited...or in which country they were before they arrived in Korea. They did not ask where they were born because that question is not allowed considering the object of the game is to guess where they were born.

These American boys korean spell and pronunciation really so good👊👍I envy their skills😁One day I want to speak korean with perfect pronunciation like them🙏💪📕🙆❤
Well as a young kid you learn easier than as an adult. For the younger brother Korean was kind of the first language so it's not surprising that he hasn't an accent. My personal example: My mom is Czech and I was also born there, my father is Italian. Until we moved to Germany (where I was like three years old) I was pretty fluent in both languages (my mother spoke in Czech with me and my father only in Italian). But when I started to go to school I only heard German and now I'm more fluent in German and English than in Czech and Italian. I can hold easy conversations but I lack in Grammar and I have a German accent.
I hope that’s happened to me one day, but I don’t want to forget my mother language, cause it’s too hard to learn Arabic again 😭😂 it’s a hard language believe me !!
Very interesting that they are first-generation in Korea (or one of the first) who don't look Korean but speak (I guess) fluently Korean and not their own language. This is a common situation in Europe or in many other countries but obviously not in Korea. In Europe, we have a lot of not European looking people who speak the country language better than their native languages.
