Yes he will be a hero. As we see in Kung Fu Panda 3, I the spirit releam, after po was saved by the chi of all the members, he had a glow orange and yellowish similar to what Tai Lung have in the trailer

When Po defeated Kai, one of the people he saved in the Spirit Realm just so happens to be Tai Lung, maybe this is what slowly lead to the Snow Leopard to redeeming himself

Well, redeeming a villain has been done before it has not been done often and I think that it would be a very cool thing to see. I’m really on board for it. I’ve always wanted to see some animated villains get redeemed.

Here we are again guess tai lung would be the next potential dragon warrior remember aside from po and shifu tai lung also see the scroll. So maybe while tai lung is on the spirit realm he may realize the content of the scroll (" no special recipe" thing)
I think tai lung and oogway had some talking in sprit world.
I agree, think that the reason why this upcoming movie should be his redemption is because Tai Lung might of asked why Oogway didn't choose him is because he needs give away chi and he should also learn that Oogway learned chi from pandas and why he chose Po instead of Tai Lung because he doesnt have a Ying and Yang in him.

The only thing throwing off this entire theory is the way Tai Lung looks in the trailer when he’s talking down on the goat people. That looks like the Chameleon posing as him, but her transformations have blue eyes with slit pupils. Tai Lung there has his usual gold eyes and round pupils. What exactly is going on here? Is this just a different transformation for the Chameleon with more power? Or is this Tai Lung’s body being possessed by her? Could it even be mind control? No clue.
Whatever the case is, I truly do hope that Tai Lung gets a redemption arc in this film. It would be such a waste to bring him back just to be a villain again, or worse case scenario, only return to give the new villain more power. That’s far too similar to Kai’s story. Shifu’s still alive and well, so they should take this opportunity to finally give him and Tai Lung some reconciliation.
If you look closely, she's copying the eyes but "Tai Lung" looks far too scaly and spiky for a snow leopard. There's a line of spikes right along the jawline and I think on the shoulders -- it's the Chameleon.
@@loveace2430Yeah, I certainly hope she’s just mimicking his eyes. I’d rather not have Tai Lung be used like a puppet. We already got Jombie stuff like that in the last movie with other characters.
I think she has two different forms of copying people, if you noticed she full on absorbed Tai Lung, you can see his chi enter her. So she then essentially becomes him rather than just copying, some looks probably stay. But when she copies Po or that elephant, she didn’t absorb then she just simply turned, so she’s not exactly inheriting their chi she’s just copying their look, that’s what i’m getting.
@@syrecypher9730Yes, perhaps copying people with the blue eyes just isn’t as powerful. If she actually absorbed Po’s chi, she would probably have his usual green eyes. Strange that she still had the blue slit eyes when she absorbed Tai Lung’s chi, though.

the thing is what do they do after this movie, I feel like for me at least an epic ending would be finding after all oogway is the bad guy, I feel like with the right story they can set this up perfectly as oogway was the first kun fu master, and just how they built oogway as this all time being would just break po mind

Zhen the little white fox is next in line for the title of dragon warrior I hate to tell you all this but even if tai lung does become good how can anyone be so sure that tai lung will get that title it's like king of the monsters king Ghidorah is the false king and Godzilla only becomes a true king once he kills Ghidorah and all the other monsters realise that you see what I am saying but hey if I am wrong I will take full responsibility for that.

Kung Fu Panda 4 is DreamWorks Animation/Universal Pictures.
It doesn't make sense, that ugly cat is not a hero, he's a simple villain who hides his mistakes by blaming someone else.
Just because you subjectively like him, identify with him or want to fuck him doesn't mean he deserves it or that there is a valid reason for him to have redemption.
In the trailer he looks just as evil as he did when he fucking died, he also got his ass kicked the same way.

Honestly dont care, the trilogy has been a masterpiece and i want more.
I get that but the series had a great conclusion and I think it would be great to have spin-offs like we used to have to build on characters like the furious five cuz they are all kinda bland except for tigress
Does anyone hope that these four villains (Tai Lung, Lord Shen, Kai and Chameleon) will be in the fourth film not only so that they take revenge on Panda Po and their other abusers, and then lose, but also so that Po finally tries to reach them, fix the mistakes of those who caused them a lot of pain before and make them your friends. Yes, none of them are perfect, they have done a lot of evil and pain even to those who obviously did nothing to them.
Tai Lung maimed the inhabitants of the Valley of Peace and almost killed his master and adoptive father Shifu. Lord Shen killed Po's mother, most of the pandas and Master Rhino, and after that, he almost killed Po himself and the Tigress. Kai turned all the kung fu masters into jade zombies and destroyed the Jade Palace. And what the Chameleon will do there, we will find out later, when the fourth film is released.
But this does not mean that one should consider them ruthless monsters and banish them to the spirit world or somewhere else every time. Maybe it's not too late and they can still be reached somehow, and Po should take advantage of this moment, because he's not like Ugway, who just got into a fight with Kai, and then killed him instead of talking to him and somehow helping. And after a while, he silently turned away from Tai Lung, instead of talking to him too and helping him somehow. Po should not take an example from Ugway, because it was because of him that Kai and Tai Lung became ruthless beasts that hurt even innocent residents.
Shifu and the Furious Five took the example of Ugway and saw in these three only a threat to kung fu, the Valley of Peace and the whole of China, which must be urgently killed or somehow stopped. And Po, of course, tried to reach Shen and Tai Lung, but then he stopped, and sent Tai Lung to the spirit world, and left Shen on the ship when a broken cannon fell on him. When I thought about it, I began to sympathize with them even more, friends. No one was kind to them and did not try to help, everyone saw them only as a threat, not victims who were treated unfairly (I'm talking about characters in their universe, not people from real life), if you start thinking the same way, then even you will begin to sympathize with Kai.
If they are not helped, then even Tai Lung will really turn into a ruthless and heartless monster, and will destroy everything in his path and kill all those who come across his eyes. It's the same with Shen, Kai and Chameleon.
I really hope that Po will try to help these four and reach them, because if they are returned in order for them to take revenge, and then merge them, it will be a shame for them ((

There's an AnimationScoop interview where the director says Tai Lung's relationships with Po, Shifu, and Oogway will be important. Also Tai Lung joining the good guys would go along with the idea of Po teaming up with crooks to stop the Chameleon.
