@Backyard Slingshots yeah man I had a guy tell me it didn't work. I told him it works for me but may not work for you, and im not with you to see what you're doing. He continued to argue lol. Anyway, I was shooting one day, and I was all over the place, and I thought I needed to figure this out without having to tweak. That's where my inconsistencies were. I fiddled around for about 15 minutes and boom. That was what worked for me.
@@backyardslingshots5631 tried about 50 shots yesterday and zero fork hit (couldn't do that before your video 🙏 but did not manage to hit anything ... some went up to 3ft waaayy left/right or about 1 ft up/down from what [I thought] I was aiming 😅 still learning how to shoot this full butterfly with the ammo hand floating in air 😁
Loved the video brother! All in one take! Great job. I tried Chuckin's style but I forgot to point the tips forward and got a fork hit from not paying attention. Tried it again and it works great. Has anyone competed solely with a pfs in a comp?
I use dry and hard chickpeas as slingshot ammo. At a distance of 7 meters, I can hit a beer can about 1 out of 10 shots. I’m curious if the small ridges on the chickpeas could be affecting the accuracy at such a short range. By the way, these chickpeas, which are typically used for cooking, can slightly dent the can upon impact.
The bands maybe too much, and causing shots to fly off. Also the ridges could cause issues. Have you tried clay ball ammo?

@backyardslingshots5631, No, I haven’t tried clay balls. I bought 8 mm steel balls, but they seem too dangerous for indoor or outdoor use, and I didn’t want to waste them since they are a bit expensive. I was happy to see that the chickpeas shoot very fast, but they seem to change direction slightly in the air. I got the bands from China; they are 0.8 mm thin, made of high-quality rubber, 25 cm long, soft, and elastic. Thank you for your response.
Your welcome. If I was using the pees for ammo, I’d definitely be using a .4mm band, and a light taper. The material you have sounds like it would be good for 9.5mm steel.

@ Thank you all your help! I understand that with the material I have, I might achieve better results using 8 mm steel balls. I bought these bands in bulk from China to include them in a single shipment. To prevent the unused spare bands from deteriorating over time, would it be helpful to coat them with talcum powder? Do you have any other tips for extending the lifespan of the bands? Since clay balls are not available in Turkey, could you recommend other types of ammo that might work well? Additionally, I’d like to craft wooden slingshot forks myself. Could you suggest a link or resource where I can find templates for this? Sorry for so many questions! :) 😀😀
All good, the templates that I know of are on forums, other then a google image search. As far as the material, I just cut what I’m going to use. The bulk of the roll is stored away from sunlight in a ziplock bag.
I shot the back of my hand the 1st and last time I tried a frameless setup.. And yes, it didn't feel too good at all. My nuckle instantly swole up like a golfball
I’ve had my hands hits as well. One with ttf and two with pfs. It made me gun shy, but I still picked them back up and kept going. Now frameless, I definitely can understand, being our hand is the frame. That takes a knowing that a frame hit is a hand hit. Hope all is well now.
@@backyardslingshots5631 yeah man.. luckily i started with a short draw and it was a plastic marble for test purposes.. good thing.. but i still got f't up

Awesome video and thank you for the mention of my style of shooting pfs. Great info brother 👊

@@ChuckinSteel thats the main key, is finding what works for the shooter. we all have our own styles, it just has to be found.
Great video and explanations Chris.......you've " ALMOST " convince me to try PFS, lol.
thank you, they truly are not that hard. thats also why I suggest starting with a rapper, and moving into a pfs for those that are nervous.
Good Stuff! Its really hard to beat a nice pfs!
I love a pfs. They can be just as good and accurate as a standard frame.
thank you for sharing this 🙂 you got mad skills, brother 💯
Thank you, I’m coming with more for the series. I for sure have at least one more for sure. I hope you enjoy the rest of the content

@@N0rthGym that’s something I’m working on. I’m just trying to come up with a good way to explain what I’m doing, feeling m, and seeing.
Very informative😊
thank you, it seems to have help some with pfs frames
Very cool. When shooting your normal style, do you aim through the fork gap as apposed to the corner fork tip?
Thank you, and great question. I act aiming off the outer edge of my upper band. Close to the fork tip.
Nice job! I'm terrible with a pfs.
Thank you, that’s one of the reasons I’m making this series.

no not that I know of, other then over in the uk, where they had a class that was sole for pfs.

When your aim is up try to put your anchor point High and if to low, try to high your anchor
I do, I’ve just become used to projected aiming or a 6 o’clock hold from competitive hand gun shooting.
🎉🎉❤
Thank you
You must have long arms because your short draw looks like my butterfly draw lol
lol, I dont know. I know my 3/4-full butter is in the 60" range
