Thanks so much for this tutorial. I would not have been able to program my tmcc Erie Pacific 2934 without your help. I bought my Legacy controller used and it came without any memory modules, but as you explained, thi info can be entered manually.

I really like your videos, they helped alot, but for some reason I'm still running into issues. I have a TMCC engine and a cab2 remote, I did what you said in video, nothing seemed to happen. Now I did have the cab 2 hooked correctly because I have other Bluetooth engines and when I went to power the cab 2 on throttle, all the OTHER engines except the TMCC one moved suddenly lmao 🤣 I kinda got a laugh but said, well atleast I know it's connected to the track lmao.

Hi Steve, just got the legacy command set and first legacy engine. When using ID #1 everything works. I'm not able to change the ID number. I have your followed your video as well as the instruction manual. When I assign the new engine number there is no feedback from the engine (horn or lights). Therefore the ID number did not change from one. Your video is very good but I cannot make it work. Any ideas.
+Frank Grimaldi Yea each engine defaults at 1, that's why everything works at once when you use 1. Did you put the engine into "program?" If so, did you turn off track power between each step? You have to turn off track power each time you throw the program/run switch; you can't just switch it while the engine is on. Also, did you hit the "set" button (and not something else)? If none of this works, just try restoring your engine to factory settings first, as shown in this video, then go from there. Let me know if any of this works.

Very informative. Question I have a couple of lionel tracks I run. I have 2 NH SD 70's that are legacy that were already programmed into my legacy. If I were to buy another legacy engine or engines to run on a different track I would be able to program them into my one system correct and then I would just use on the different track
I'm not 100% sure what you're asking, but it sounds like you want to know if you can run multiple engines on two different tracks with one legacy system? You can use the legacy system on any layout as long as it's connected to that layout. For instance, you can't run another Legacy Engine on track 2 if your Legacy system is connected to track 1. However, if your two tracks are connected by switch-track interchanges, then you can use your Legacy system on both of those tracks.(Because it's the same track) Also, you can leave one engine in operation while you address another with the same Legacy System. The engine you left running will keep running at the speed you left it at. Last I knew you can do this with up to six engines. Let me know if this answered your question.

If I'm not mistaken you can have a PowerMaster on each mainline addressed using a TR ID that can be accessed through the Legacy Command Base. Not quite sure how you would do this if you were using a TPC unit as opposed to a PowerMaster unit.

Will the MTH trains work with this Legacy or do I need to have the MTH DCS Command Controller?
For Lionel Trains, you need Legacy. For MTH, you need DCS. No vice versa.

Watched. Still completely lost. I followed the instruction manual word for word. Came to youtube for help. Yet the engine just sits there lifeless
