Standing Pilates for Seniors to Improve, Balance, Strength and Coordination | 30 Mins

  • Join me for a 30 Minute standing pilates workout for Seniors 60+ Live! This is a full body routine to increase mobility, flexibility, balance, strength and confidence. With exercises to ease the general aches & pains in the joints and spine that come with age, as well as exercises to help combat loss of strength, coordination and balance. The saying 'use it or lose it' is so true! Doing these exercises regularly will improve all these things and builds your strength so I am recommending you work towards doing this workout at least twice a week. I've taught these exercises to my Senior clients in London, they are ages 60- 83. Take your time and do what you can, if anything is too challenging for you right now, don't worry, just rest and come back and try again when you're ready. Please have a chair handy as we will do some new work with a chair also.
    The session will be followed by a Q & A where from the comfort of your own home you can ask me questions, or just say hello whilst enjoying a nice cup of tea at a safe social distance.

    I have come back to this one many times Rachel and it is one of my regular ones each week. My only day off is Sunday. I have loved seeing your progress since the very beginning ❤👌🏻🌠🦋

    Some of the exercises like where u r hanging ur shoulders n hands n then circling them felt good

    I didn’t make the live session but loved this workout…especially the CHAIR PUSH-UPS ❣️They are genius Rachel as I can do them anywhere even the airport when traveling & the kitchen chair waiting for the casserole to bake! Thanks so much🥰

    This was a great video. I have a stiff right knee and your workouts have really helped my flexibility. I was a ballet dancer in my youth from 5 to 13 yrs old. I'm currently 65. Thanks so much!

    Oh this was lovely. Managed 2 sets of of the chair press ups, couldn’t do the 3rd, so modified. And the hip stretches at the end were wonderful. Thanks Rachel for another great class.
    ps: holding your arms out during the ballet lifts is a lot harder than you think!!

    Thank you Rachel another great video I found the last exercise very difficult have arthritis on left hip also had bursitis and tendonitis there. It has left some weakness there but your amazing Pilates have worked magic. So pleased you had such a great holiday you both deserve it 🌷🌼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    Thank you so much for your explanation. Yes I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis from a neurologist and I am 61. I also have tingling down my legs. You are soo amazing with your explanations. Love your work outs and you look freaking amazing 👏 😍 ✨️

    Excellent workout. I had trouble with the chair pushups because it hurt my hand at the thumb. Also wasn't confident in my chair. I modified by using my desk and it seemed to work quite well. Was a really good workout. BTW I'm not really Mike, I'm his wife, Kathy:)

      Hello Rachel, I owe you so much. I’m also a Pilates teacher with floor and standing certification for 20 years in Montreal and in French and this is the reason why I cannot just refer you, but I love your routines and gave them in my zoom classes or live again class. I’m 73 years old and I started at 53 years the Pilates and since I barely could walk ,it has been miraculous for me. You are great and I love you,
