- we ended up getting crazy sick after our roadtrip so we're finally BACK with the moving vlogs!! here's a little update on our living situation, Target haul for our new house, some unpacking. there's still a ton of work to be done. but we'll continue that in the next vlog.

I love love love that your family is together now and it seems you're really happy. A part of me is a little sad for you though having followed sonce 2020 and knowing your journey and how much you loved that Alabama house on the lake and how it was literally your dream home that you manifested, and seeing you cry when you were able to buy it, then watching you put so much love and care into making it your own with your dad. This is probably me projecting but it does make me sad how women are really expected to uproot ourselves and forgoe our dreams and other pursuits to follow men, and that's just the norm. I know you can't choose who you fall in love with and obviously a baby in the mix changes things but, Idk just wish you could have had your family AND also stayed in your dream house. ❤❤

@@laceybeanreadsYeah but it’s really hard to manage a house from another city. I ended up in that predicament after relocating for work.
She said in other videos that she plans on going back and forth to do renovations and such. I think we just need to recognize that this is Cathrin’s life and she is the one living it….We’re just here for the ride. As long as Cathrin is happy, that is all that matters.

I am so glad both of you got there safe. As a military wife the only thing i encourage staying on base housing is if the relationship with people doesnt feel right walk away. You will get all the tea tho with the right neighbor 😂

I’m just north of Houston (transplant from VA), so all I’ll say is that if you’re in TX, get ready for power outages. The TX grid is suuuper unreliable. We were shocked how often it went out when we moved here in 2019. Ended up buying a whole house generator so we wouldn’t have to worry!
I’ve lived in Texas my whole life. The power only goes out with the rare freeze. It’s happened like twice. 😂
@@DebraJohnson Not our experience so far, unfortunately. And we're in a nice suburb! It's gone out during run of the mill thunderstorms and on days where it's 75 degrees with blue skies.
@@MeredithPhillipsWritesI can’t even see my first comment anymore for some reason. 🤷🏾♀️ Just speaking as a lifelong Texas, I’ve only experienced power outages twice. I don’t even lose power due Hurricane Harvey, although others did. Nevertheless all the best to you.

How do you plan to film now that you all live together?
It’s probably from changing locations. When I moved from Bama to New Mexico I had different allergies. My husband actually came off of a medication he’d been on his whole life simply bc we moved & his allergies went away!

Did you get married ? I am a military spouse myself. I immediately knew that was military housing.
Just writing to say that you probably got sick because you relaxed a bit. I always get sick when I go back home to Canada to visit my parents - it’s because instead of caring for my family, I have family to care for me. It’s probably got less to do with germs and more to do with being able to just take a breath for a minute and your body going ahhhhh I’m allowed to now, if that makes sense.

What we know is her man is in the military and he’s also the father and they are together now as a family on the military base.

You do. They might be ok with it because there’s a baby, but as a default, only dependents can live on base (spouse or child).
Or they got married 🤷🏾♀️ not really our business though.

@@dotsonms they can in particular situations/circumstances but you are right in the sense that they don’t often bend the rules on base. They tend to be pretty solid.

She's mentioned in past videos that she's moving because her partner is in the military. He got stationed at this base. She moved so she and their son could be with him.
