I am giving up on God who I prayed and he doesn't answer my prayers. I don't know if I will ever make it to heaven. I don't really want to give up on God.
Hey Johanna, it is understandable to feel frustrated and be tempted to give up when it seems that God doesn't answer prayer. There are many reasons why that may seem so to us but it is not that God doesn't answer prayers. Even though your prayers may seem unanswered, God's love and care for you remains unchanged. Focus on God's unchanging character even as you continue to wait for answers to your prayers.
I am a man who had everything, the most amzing career and life. I lost it all by trying and failing to be a christian. I could not be a true Christian due to sin and selfishness which I blind to until I got struck with horrible mental illness. I have Fatal Insomnia as the result of sin and I am dying the most slow horrible menacing death. I know I will never meet God in heaven as I wrecked this life through sin.
I have been pretty frustrated, I seem to fall into temptation/sin from the time I wake up to the time I fall asleep, I do try to pray and read His word, I sometimes get peace when I pray, but then I sin and it just falls apart again, its led me to even lose hope and think about giving up, I think I wont make it to the rapture, but then I look at the promises God made, He has promised that He wont give up on me, so why should I give up on Him? He knows what I'm going through, and He will help me overcome sin if I am willing, isnt that something to smile about?
Their is no such thing as god or an afterlife, and theirs no such things as sin, just personal choices you made and have to live with until the day you cease to exist.
Currently passing through a very tough phase right now. Everything I do just frustrates. Business isn't working, gets to the last stage of a deal closing and it falls apart. Can't even leave the house right now. I really need God to step into my situation
i just wanna know if god really cares about his, why do the worst people get to enjoy life. why does he allow suffering of his so called children? so we become stronger, gain wisdom bal blah is all bullshit. we been going thru garbage for eternity and is the world getting better? are people learning? um no! so its all bullshit.
there's a video of a boy named arthur labinjo-hughes. he was tortured by his stepmom and dad, and then murdered by his stepmom. in the video, he screams "no one loves me". there's another video of a boy named adrian jones. he was tortured by his dad and stepmom as well. after he died, they fed his body to pigs. God doesn't protect anybody, hun. we are on our own. it's sad, but it's the uncomfortable truth.
What's the point of prayer if i dont get what i want? Damn! Life is infair anf cruel! Millions of innocent people got killed and where's the protection of god? And guidance? Where? and when? FYI being Jesus' follower is a life filled with disappointments and tragedy but the Hope that is, is worth everything because all that you hold dear in this world will be gone but NOT JESUS. Friends do not give up on God! When God blesses others be happy for them. I have a friend who believes in Jesus and has many health problems. She has many reasons to be discouraged but her faith in God is helping her through. God promises in Isaiah 60:22: "When the time is right I the Lord will make it happen." I am struggling myself but I always have something to look forward to. Your struggles should NEVER be a reason to give up on God! There are Christians in countries where the Bible is outlawed and having one In possession could lead to imprisonment or death. I always remind myself about Christians in North Korea and China and their struggles. There is a new heaven and a new earth coming! The former things will be forgotten!
