"I don't know what exactly it is, but it's been here for a really long time." *If Gregory doesn't know what The Mimic is, then how exactly does he know for how long Mimic has been locked up down there?* does he think The Mimic and the endoskeleton are two different entities?
I would think it has to do with the age of the computer system, and probably signs in the environment. The age of the original pizzeria, destruction and markings obviously caused by the mimic, maybe even the mimic's appearance itself, as he likely saw it (I'm guessing after it being burn trap, as the game seems to hint that he had been down there other times).
@brandonatherton the problem is, that neither novel nor game explicitly state if Gregory knew about The Mimic at all. be it as an AI program or as the zombietronic. it's one of the biggest plot holes of the newer FNaF stroylines: did Gregory know what The Mimic was? Did he know what AI at the Pizzaplex messed with the animatronics? for all we know, it was the Glitchtrap program that messed with the security systems thanks to Vanessa. but we do not know what exactly Mimic was doing down there all the time and if he still had any direct influence on any system of the Pizzaplex. he obviously studied Gregory and the animatronics, since in RUIN he is able to mimic them. all together, it's safe to assume that both Mimic and Glitchtrap were playing games the Pizzaplex's AI- and security systems. however, Gregory was under Glitchtrap's heels, not Mimic's. I also struggle with another plot hole created in RUIN: between the Tangle-Burntrap-Freddy ending and RUIN, neither Gregory nor Cassie seem to have aged one bit. but Cassie states that she had fun on the water log ride, an attraction that surely took years to construct and test-ride. this alone creates HUGE contradictions and inconsistencies between timelines. when exactly did Gregory roam the dungeon with Mimic inside? how did he escape Mimic (remember: Mimic was zombie-walking in tight and sealed rooms all time)? and, again, when and how did he find out about Mimic and how long the latter one had been locked up down there?
I think the reason why the mimic wasn’t destroyed, is just because of how durable it is. When you look at the neutral ending when the mimic tries to grab Cassie in the elevator, the elevator door literally dents when it crashes his head. As for Freddy missing his head, maybe the technicians tried to fix Freddy, but never knew what happened to his head, and we know The princess quest ending has Gregory Vanessa escaping with Freddy‘s head
This means that even Helpy was the Mimic and part of the same server as Glitch Trap. It meant that Cassie and her father, Gregory, Vanessa and many others are in some ways more than one connected to the mimic throughout all the events of Fnaf.
Into the Pit referenced exactly that very moment. Being under the Mimic’s control meant exactly losing all memories of the past. But this may solidify what I had theorized myself about the events of Special Delivery, Help Wanted 1 and 2 and SB and Ruin, the animatronics becoming sentient. And this even applies to all models of the previous decades and the last century, too. Spirits trapped inside of their own animatronics and under the control of the Mimic just to finally find a loophole that can break them of the Mimic’s control. But this will mean human conflicts. Protests and riots to keep the technology and the souls from doing evil and evil being done to them. Human beings clashing with morals and ideals and trying to prevent the other from pushing their agendas that could lead to more danger than what has already happened.
the source of the animatronics problems being *really* shoddy soure control is probably the most realistic part of this series, ngl. also freddy gaining sentience and individuating from the mimic-01 branch and the pizzaplex as a whole is strangely wholesome and I, for one, am very happy for him
This is a good theory but there are still a few problems that i find with it. With the drawings you get to see every ending. Except the princess quest ending. That leads me to believe that all those drawings are just little mini stories gregory made. The most important thing is that in evidence for this is the ruin DLC the freddy that chases Cassie, there are so many hints that this is the same freddy suit as the one in SB. Firstly, in the ending, Vanny commands robots to decapitate Freddy, destroying his body, and making Gregory save his head , allowing them to run off! The freddy literally has monty's claws, and didn't he steal monty's claw's? He also has all the basic features of glamrock freddy. You might try to combat this by saying "oh but ruin freddy has 'prototype' written under his foot. SB freddy didn't have that!" Well you are right there. BUT Scott has added details/redesigned characters in past. So that was probably just and added detail he made last minute. The most likely ending is Princess quest. Not the burntrap ending.
Though it should be noted that the other endings still tell us information about what is going on since hints and secrets being hidden in alternate routes aren't uncommon in this series, such as the alternate ending in Sister location, the Brazil ending in Ruin, etc.
I agree. I believe the princess quest ending is the cannon ending, and that's the original Freddy. I think prototype was added to give some more form to what Freddy talked about in Ruin (like shown in the video). Maybe to tell us that he's the original and only Freddy, and this could maybe be why he was able to break free of the mimic's control, being an early iteration of the endos. This could have been the same for Bonnie, but Bonnie broke free sooner, and thus the mimic tasked their destruction sooner. I do think that the burntrap ending gives us some clues and context though, hinting at the mimic before the DLC dropped, and maybe even what could have happened should the mimic have been allowed to continue without interference. There's a lot we could potentially take away from things.
@@M0J4-XD I go even a step further: these comic strips Gregory made are the very fantasy story he created in the novel GGI. they are his school project.
@@M0J4-XD however, I also dare to disagree: I believe the Burntrap ending is canon, *because* of the comics. Gregory drew what he experienced and sold it off at school as his novel project. he destroyed his classmate's manuscript and replaced it with his comics.
I actually love this theory. I feel it makes much more sense of the mimic, and really explains why all of the animatronics were so hostile and started acting strangely, and why Freddy wasn't hostile. We already knew it was because of his reboot into safe mode, but this really explains why. It also explains why they all seemed to have the same goal and operate together. This may even explain why Bonnie was taken out. We know Bonnie and Freddy were friends. If they both had developed similarly to have some level of resistance to the mimic/glitchtrap (made from the same fork of code?), then maybe the mimic tasked Bonnie's destruction to remove any resistance to it's plans.
The mimic being the root programming repository makes sense, in HW2 you have the endo training in the daycare which is probably connected to the mimic and then you build on all the other stuff on top of that.
Molten Freddy made a ramshackle face because it lost the funtime freddy mask back at sister location after getting scooped, but because of special delivery stuff, there was a bunch of spare parts under the pizza plex, one being a funtime freddy mask, so the blob ditched the knock off he made, and yoinked the mask with the original look
The fact that these Animatronics have gained ACTUAL sentience makes me think of what our girl 2B said at the end of Route A of NieR: Automata, "What is it that separates machines from androids like us? The machines have gained emotions. ...Consciousness. The final screams they summoned on the edge of death... They still echo within me."
my favorite moment in that game was when 2b and 9s run across that machine city where all the machines are repeating human activities. they ask why do the machines repeat humanities failures, moments before birthing a "human" machine. or should i say an android?
I know its not related direction to the topic of this vid but I never actually noticed that Ruin likely debunks the theory that the Tales From the Pizzaplex books are completely canon to the games because, in the books, the Mimic was transported to the Pizzaplex in the modern day. That sure doesn't seem to the case in the game's continuity given Gregory's line + M.X.E.S.'s being confirmed to be retro tech.
Your videos are amazing Twisted Animatronic, keep up the fantastic work. I have a video request: Why are Sun and Moon not separate animatronics in Security Breach? ☀️🌕
Perhaps a more technically accurate way to describe this is to say they kept the original, physical Mimic as a "hard copy" back up, in case they decide to wipe the system and start over. This has to do with "real world" reasoning, rather then narrative flow; many companies keep outdated machines in their buildings with the old records, or older/original versions of digital information for the reason it cannot interface directly with the current network. If things go sideways the company can wipe the system and then start the daisy-chain to get the data off the old machine up to the modern machines. As an example, you can go literal driver --> floppy --> had floppy --> CD-ROM (or zip, or mini disc) to thumb drive or just e-mail it over (as soon as the floppy state) as an attachment. Steel Wool studios likely practices this, as well as Scott, as a simple way to insure important material doesn't completely vanish. The reason why I think the original mimic endo is not connected to the system is that there is a strong lack of environmental story telling to support this in a game made by a game studio who utilizes this method over Scott's "play through it / live through it / sit in it" method. If it was connected, then there would be a terminal, obvious ports, extension cables, down there it could plug into. You can daisy-chain a wireless connection to something that old, but it would create a giant tumor-like "growth" out of the side of it with blinking lights. These are elements that just don't seem to be present in the level design. Lastly, the 1980s server that is down there is actively "inhabited" by another entity. The sequence where we turn it off is so dramatic as to communicate "this is his tomb, his physical location". Meaning that thing's zeros and ones are stored/housed in that coffin-like server and it then is accessing the rest of the pizzaplex through the network.
This *COULD* be referring to the prototype freddy? I mean, Glammy questioning if he was the first Glamrock freddy/ questioning if he was just another animatronic with a different shell and re-written code, and the quote of "I am not me" could mean that Glammy here might have been another animatronic with altered code to make him into Glamrock Freddy, and the quote of "I found myself" Could mean that when he went down into the sink hole, that he saw Prototype Freddy. Which would explain why we see the word "Prototype" On prototype freddy and why Glammy was able to be taken with Gregory. And the freddy in HW2 could be the prototype freddy.
I believe the canon ending to security breach is another 5 things into 1 moment. Look at Ruin, put on and remove the Vanni mask in as many areas as possible. Seriously. The princess quest arcade machine for one: real world (no mask) burnt out lantern(game over symbol for princess quest.) AR world(Vanni mask) Sword through machine. The AR world is riddled with deception. Many things can be interpreted many ways there.
I have a question. Since you stated that the mimic o1 program is connected to all the animatronics made and destroyed, does that mean the o1 program was trying to take control of freddy in the intro when he crashes and reboots into safe mode? also, feel like the o1 mimic code WAS actually taking over freddy throughout the game when he attacks gregory, lies to vanessa and the other animatronics several times while breaking into rooms.
Twisty, you gotta stop posting these while I'm at work!! I have to stop what I'm doing and watch! And one about Glamrock Freddy? I can't let that go!! Another awesome video. Thank you for giving me something to think about.
Hello Twisted Animatronic. I have fnaf theory to you. Does FAZBEAR ENTERTAINMENT have any competition in the canon? In the story FAZBEAR FRIGHTS THE PUPPET CARVER we meet PIZZA PLAYGROUND, a franchise of an animatronic pizzeria, in the story its owner is Jack, he bought this pizzeria three years ago and it already had animatronics and slot machines, but there is no word whether this pizzeria is related to FAZBEAR ENTERTAINMENT so I think it's competition. I will also add that in this pizzeria there is an animatronic named Baron von Bear, an animatronic imitating Freddy Fazbear. The story ends with Jack offering 25 free chips and a lot of people came, thanks to which PIZZA PLAYGROUND is still in operation, and I think it survived until PIZZAPLEX was created and destroyed. What do you think?
This actually helps explain why Freddy allies with Gregory in Safe Mode. In the books, the Mimic was designed to be a babysitter to a little boy. Forming that connection with Gregory only feels natural then
It makes sense that every endo has some form of the mimic ai within them. We literally see where they train the endos to do certain task and behave in a certain manner. Furthermore look at what Freddy says, what if the endo that he is was another cast member at one time. Meaning some endos may have the ability to mimic the other cast members, by booting into different modes.
Counter theory: what if the reason they never destroyed it was because they couldn't we know that it put itself back together with other parts once what if every time they tried to destroy it it just repaired itself eventually leaving them no choice but to just trap it
I don't have anything for this theory, but here's a theory I came up with for Burntrap: Burntrap isn't a revived William Afton OR the mimic in a costume, but a more decayed Pit Bonnie who put Jeff inside of him. To put it simply, I think this is who started up the Fazbear entertainment that people like Gregory and Vanessa know today.
I dunno. This still doesn’t explain why the Princess quest arcade game was ripped over and stabbed with the golden sword if it didn’t mean the Princess quest ending wasn’t the canon one. Also it’s the only ending that lacks drawings by Gregory. Perhaps it’s not one of the endings but a mixture of them. Kinda like how we often consider the books not part of the main timeline but how some of their elements do connect to the main game timeline. Also even though the obvious “prototype” word was added to Freddy I still don’t think that’s a smoking gun for it not being at least our Freddy’s body because other characters have gotten slight revisions to their endo skeleton for Ruin specifically. For example Sun/Moon/Eclipse had a port for a fazwrench on the back of their head when it was absent in the main game. If multiple endings could be combined then it could mean the Blob/Tangle could still exist and escape, Freddy loses his head, Vanessa is freed, and burntrap perhaps could’ve been confronted all in one ending. It’s a shot in the dark but a new idea (or at least I came up with it independently, if someone else said it before me I didn’t know)
The Mimic was taken down to the FNAF 6 Pizzera while the Pizzaplex was being built over it, this story is shown in the Epilogues of the Tales from the Pizzaplex books. It's not a mystery, we know how he got there.
It actually makes sense that the prototype freddy is actually the normal Freddy that we see in security breach because as we see in the princess quest ending Gregory takes Freddy's head with him and as we replaced freddy's claws with monty's ones but monty's Claws had the burn trap virus so it actually make sense for the claws to infect Freddy😮
Heres smtg I thought of, how was afton able to perform the sharp movements to kill a child, assuming they fight back, without tripping the springs? And the blood possibly splashing on it too?
I just thought of something when i replayed security breach where the cupcake room is theres no recharge station in the room or in the surrounding area but in ruin there is one wjere chica gets electrified which is strange wjere did this come from?
the burn trap should have happend, but at one point Vany was freed, so the endo ended up being posest by mimic because probably casidies fatehr put him together under glich trap controll or something
This is all really great but, how do we know Hes not just saying “i am not me” because he is being hacked, literally becoming a mindless bot controlled by afton

If you want proof, I made a video about it on my channel, it's my second most recent long-form upload as of the time of me making this. Also, sorry I can't give you the link here. If I do UA-cam will delete my comment.
Ruined Freddy being the bad Freddy doesn't make sense. We only saw *one* Freddy ever. The "PROTOTYPE" could have been Fazbears' new AI, as they were working on the building before Ruin's events.

Counter theory: what if the reason they never destroyed it was because they couldn't we know that it put itself back together with other parts once what if every time they tried to destroy it it just repaired itself eventually leaving them no choice but to just trap it
Then why create a computer to safe guard it ;)
It is possible that the earthquake could have happened after Gregory left.
I don't have anything for this theory, but here's a theory I came up with for Burntrap:
Burntrap isn't a revived William Afton OR the mimic in a costume, but a more decayed Pit Bonnie who put Jeff inside of him. To put it simply, I think this is who started up the Fazbear entertainment that people like Gregory and Vanessa know today.
Please make more about glamrock Freddy
I disagree with the theory, but it still have some good points. Usefull points for my own theory. Thanks.
I love your theory videos
9:20 that's cuz gregory and vannesa went there and he escaped the mimic
The drawings were just the other endings but not princess quest
Fnaf security breach and ruin the glitch trap ending is diffrent and other stuff
The Tumnbail is Fire
I know where Freddy and Greg left to. By the looks of it theyre now in rural Oklahoma down by the stream where big hills are. (Country music ref)
❤❤❤
This theory makes a lot of sence the only thing I want to ask you is if Burntrap is William and seperate from glitchtrap?
Twisted is game theory after the game theory deleted the channel
It’s a shot in the dark but a new idea (or at least I came up with it independently, if someone else said it before me I didn’t know)
Well done, Gregory.
The Mimic was taken down to the FNAF 6 Pizzera while the Pizzaplex was being built over it, this story is shown in the Epilogues of the Tales from the Pizzaplex books. It's not a mystery, we know how he got there.
Good job incredible theory
Appreciate it
It kinda explains them being sentient.
bro became buzzlightier from that one toy story movie
No wonder he’s the face of the brand cuz he is OP
I love fnaf sb thankeds for giving me lore to glam rock freddy
Many I love Twisted animatronic
Here is an idea for you
Why is Foxy’s end of night sprite fixed because the the FNaF 3 end of night mini games take place after FNaF 1
Hi twisted
It actually makes sense that the prototype freddy is actually the normal Freddy that we see in security breach because as we see in the princess quest ending Gregory takes Freddy's head with him and as we replaced freddy's claws with monty's ones but monty's Claws had the burn trap virus so it actually make sense for the claws to infect Freddy😮
Heres smtg I thought of, how was afton able to perform the sharp movements to kill a child, assuming they fight back, without tripping the springs? And the blood possibly splashing on it too?
But that’s just a theory a game theory come back mat pat
😢
Twisted Animatronic always cooking! (Are you Irish or Scottish?)
Notification gang LET'S GOOOO
Legend!
I'd freddy actually "finds himself" in canon ending
Your the best vids
appreciate it :)

@@TwistedAnimatronic no problem you so great
I just thought of something when i replayed security breach where the cupcake room is theres no recharge station in the room or in the surrounding area but in ruin there is one wjere chica gets electrified which is strange wjere did this come from?
Very interesting
the burn trap should have happend, but at one point Vany was freed, so the endo ended up being posest by mimic because probably casidies fatehr put him together under glich trap controll or something
This is all really great but, how do we know Hes not just saying “i am not me” because he is being hacked, literally becoming a mindless bot controlled by afton
I MOTICED SOMTHING THE MIMIC HAS THE SAME ENDO SKULL AS CIRCUS BABY! SO THEY USED THE SAME SKULL FOR CIRCUS BABY
🔥 video
Hey @TwistedAnimatronic! I got my UA-cam Gaming Recap yesterday and it said you were my most watched gaming creator! If you want proof, I made a video about it on my channel, it's my second most recent long-form upload as of the time of me making this. Also, sorry I can't give you the link here. If I do UA-cam will delete my comment.
Thats amazing 👏 will deffo check it out !!
@TwistedAnimatronic That's amazing! Thank you!

Freddy Fazbear the gigachad he is
I always interpreted the line 'I found myself for the first time' as Freddy finding the remains of Michael's body, personally
So baisically...
Ai is getting outta hand
How can he do this in SAFE MODE
freddy
Under an hour
Is Mangle possessed? If so,where or what happened to the dead body?
hmm yes interesting.
😢❤
Ruined Freddy being the bad Freddy doesn't make sense. We only saw *one* Freddy ever. The "PROTOTYPE" could have been Fazbears' new AI, as they were working on the building before Ruin's events.
