They think this is going to boost their sale, but the one who gets all the profits in the end are the reseller. I don't think many digital-only players would suddenly buy packs for credits, instead they're just going to buy the codes.
Id buy cards of i had time to go play. Even then I'd most likely buy singles. But I've bought code cards for getting me decks sooner than later. I've only been playing for like season. But I but Shrouded Fable since I have all the cards
Yes, true. But bundling them with the real product means that at some point, somebody will have bought the product. And maybe it brings pack-buyers into the game and ptcgl-players to try some real cards.
I am so glad the only money I spent on codes was for 400 obsidian flames packs for 10¢ per pack. Based on my own research and the fact that everyone got a few of the higher rarity cards from the set for free, it seemed like the correct choice. Really glad I was right.
Thank you so much, you helped me understand alot. Just started his game today and couldnt have seen this at a better time. You are a mathematical genius 🙏🏻
I tried what you suggested and bought 400 pack codes of Obsidian Flames and I'm 15k short which seems A LOT. I know there's luck into it, which I never have, but I'm honestly sitting at only 42,650 credits.
Am I the only one unlucky player that after leveling 50 levels in the battle pass, I got only 1 ex (normal rarity) and 1 ace spec from all my surging spark normal packs? After 30 levels I thought it was just an oddity, but now …
Just play. Complete daily missions and try getting 1000 battle pass experience points everyday(which is easy actually). You don't even need to play for hours to complete daily missions. This game is much healthier in this sense than other TCG/CCG. Unlike "Marvel Snap".
You can only redeem 400 of each set? That's really strange and there seems to be no reason for it. What if you don't get all the cards in said set? Do you just have to craft the rest?
No one really knows the purpose of such a restriction but some suspect it is TPCi's weird way to encourage people to buy other physical product. Btu in reality people buying codes are either picking them up for free from pack rippers or third party sellers.
I wouldn't mind spending a bit of in-app money on a game I enjoy, though that's contingent on the devs making some improvements to the game as a result... which probably won't happen. It still seems like microtransactions are coming.
On Master duel: BUY THE STAPLE BUNDLES, prioritizing Ash Blossom and Joyous spring and Called my the grave. Dust the UR/SR you get from these that you don't wanna use, either because it's bad or because it's not from a deck you are interested in building. Search online for versions of decks you are interested and try to focus on getting their engine, swapping UR generics for N/R options like Book of Moon, Forbidden chalicce, Malevolent sin, etc. Search for budget versions of the decks you are interested.
Remember to craft 1 SR of the deck core 1st in order to open your free secret pack and open it. Fir the deck you want to play the most, go in on the secret pack, dismantle cards you are not going to use and have fun
There are completely free yugioh dueling simulators with the most updated card bases, ban lists and all cards at your disposal for pc like Project Ignis aka EDOPro or dueling nexus. Other option are more game like, with unlocking/crafting cards and such: YGO omega (PC), duel links/master duel, etc.

Good work on the math, but I do have to disagree, the best way to use real money would be with the premade decks for shadow rider & miraidon. Besides that, focusing on celebrations to complete the set, that way the crystals they earn on the game can be exchanged for both the decks & celebrations to max out the return on investments

@habutf
Touche
The metric you chose is credits per dollar, at a constant # of packs = 400. Thanks for putting this together!
Where can I buy Pilot's feet picks?

How do I buy 4 shadow rider decks with barely any crystals 😭

The dialogue in your videos actually make me cackle, thank you

Yes, pretty much. You’ll definitely have the credits to do so

Just checked eBay and my go-to code seller just changed the price for celebrations from 6.99 for 50 codes to just 64.99 for one code
Gah damn that’s wild

If you go over 400 packs what will you get?
15 crystals
Out of 400 obsidian flames packs, i got 40k crystals not 57k. Be careful these numbers are estimate and can be 20k less than suggested in the video
Same with me!
What about UPC box code?
Codes outside of packs have smaller redemption limits (some as low as 1).
Guys I wanna start Yugioh. Can you give me tips on how I can end up building multiple decks as an F2P?
