He was already rolling at a good speed when he come round the corner at the top of the hill, things turned scary about the halfway mark, the wobbles hit and I don’t know how he even lasted as long as he did, board was wobbling like a metre each way before he spilled. Slid 20 - 30 metres, thought he dead for sure. When he got up we couldn’t believe it, he was wearing one of those old American Starter letterman college jackets, wool with leather arms, somehow he managed to slide on his arms in sort of Dolphin dive position. Totally shredded the jacket, he wasn’t too bad...so we thought ! By the time we got to about where Pasadena Intermediate was the adrenaline must have worn off and he was wincing in pain...lifted up his shirt and the skin o his hip bones was grazed to the bone. Damn it must of hurt. He went to the hospital but not until about 30 mins later, skin grafts. Reason he didn’t go hospital straight away was because we were on a school outing and didn’t want to get in trouble. 100% true, at least 15 witnesses and about 30 to the injuries. If it had been filmed he’d be a Legend. He was always doing crazy shit and always the first to do it. Another crazy thing used to see one of Levi Hawkins sisters around that time, there were 2-3 of them and they were all lookers who loved the Polynesian boys. Bit of Auckland folklore for you.

My nephew and niece have Hypohidrotic Ectodermal Dysplasia and all those affected are the most beautiful people in the world. If you want him to fix his teeth why don't YOU pay for it out of Your pocket. He's lucky he even has teeth! He's lucky that he can be outside in the sun. LOOK IT UP! Educate yourself!!!
When we were growing up in inner city Auckland in the 80s Levi was about 3 years younger than us. I remember some of the he adults telling us to always be nice to him and to never tease him as he wouldn’t live very long and probably wouldn’t make it to adulthood. He sure proved them wrong. He was always a nice kid, had some nice looking older sisters too (that’s how most of us met him). His life is a great story of determination.
I use to sprint up this hill everyday after course, this fullas a mad bastard, the angle doesn't do the hill justice. I reakon an above angle would've been mean too.
to those who think he's ugly. he could get his teeth changed to please, he could get a hair transplant for hair, um his muscles are gorgeous. so what of the ones calling him ugly? that is where i see ugly. he can change things he might not like, can you cut out the parts of you that are ugly inside your mind? one day i hope people get a heart. i hope he gets the most beautiful girl who loves him and finds him sexy, he does have some sex appeal for those who look at him.

I'm an artist, and he has fabulous bone structure..he was born w/white hair, but how many people bleach their hair to white/platinum, what else.. oh his teeth, wth, i've seen people let their teeth go till they look like black rotten bone.
