Thanks for the instructive video. I have had one of these stoves since 1977, so far (touch wood) without any issue (bar tightening the control knob packing). Along with a 1982 222 Lantern (purchased new) and a similar vintage 321 stove, I'm probably living on "Easy-Lite" borrowed time. Having said that I believe I changed the o-rings in the 321 some years ago. and that is still our main camping stove. It has started faithfully (with a pre-heat) at minus 25C after an overnight soak at below minus 30 repeated over 3-4 days. The 505 has served as the 3rd burner on a number of occasions over the years, after my canoe trip days slowed down. I would like to keep it going as long as possible. Cheers from Thunder Bay!
Kudos to you for leaving in the footage of chowdering that F/A tube up. It happens. And it's a real bummer when it does. I've worked on a ton of Coleman stoves and lanterns. I'm seriously considering screwing an old style valve into some of these schrader valve models. I'll take 1/4 turn to light over these any day.......haha!
Great video, thanks. I have two of the 508's(looking for a 505) that use that same generator. Its a shame that it is so hard to find and so expensive when you do. Its a great stove with awesome adjustability.. From a low simmer to jet engine, lol...
Perfect timing, I just found a 576 on Friday at a garage sale.. it was rough but with a little work it cleaned up nicely, hello from west texas… thank you Sir.
I got one of these last year after I renewed we had one when I was a kid. I really like these stoves but the only thing I'm not a fan of is the flat base. Makes them a little unable when not on flat surfaces. I also hate to scratch the base up. I managed to find a TPU ring that fits over the base that protects it as well as providing a little grip. Well worth it.
Love this guy. One of the best performing single burners. Mine started acting up during winter camping so I think it's about time for a rebuild. Also from the island here, and I hate to say I've been using a really nice LED lantern lately for camping.. my red Coleman 80a had a NRV failure which is quite annoying
@@SpencerGalloway-d1p AGM products don’t turn up very often in Canada. That said, while I was down at the ICCC convention I found what looks like an AGM 287, so I may be able to make a video on that.

Very interesting thanks for sharing.

I use a plastic base made for the one pound propane canisters. Fits perfectly after cutting a notch on the holder to make room for the pump.

What is a 'NRV' failure?
@@mackbolan5126 non-return valve. It's in the very bottom of the pump tube and it takes a special tool to unscrew it.
What model is your lantern? I’ve never heard of a 80a. Do you mean 200a?
Hey King, How 'bout something about Redi-lite, a AGM product in beautiful royal blue livery? Also, have never seen anyone do anything on Nulite?

@@king.coleman Thanks for response. How 'bout a video on a Nulite?
