You are so refreshing. I love watching someone being CRAFTY, instead of just buying all the dies that do everything for you. You sound SO MUCH like me, when you talk to yourself. If you ever in FL, you look me up and come play.
I saw this video before and liked your correction and appreciated that you kept it in your video. This time I want to say that although all your reasons were valid for not starting over, my "artistic eye" believes that your "fix" was in better proportion and therefore perfect. I love watching your videos and trying one or 2 of your lessons. You have the perfect voice for teaching and I love your emojis and your "tningamajobbie" vocabulary. God bless you for sharing.
I absolutely loved the one that you used the stencil on the front of the card. I liked that you showed us how to make some of them without having special dies. I’ve always been a “make do with what I’ve got” sort of gal and appreciate seeing ways to DIY rather than having to run out and buy something else to make an idea work. Thank you so much for these great ideas!!
Thanks for demonstrating some interactive cards that don't require specific die mechanisms. While the die-cut mechanisms make interactive cards easy, they can be quite expensive, especially for us old ladies on a fixed income (haha).
Regardless of age or income, I think it's well worth learning how to create pop-up cards with a ruler and craft knife, since you have far more flexibility than if you use a die.☺
JD, you are far from useless!!! I've just been introduced to your videos & I'm......ADDICTED!!! You are so True to your craft & honest that you're not perfect, but trying to help some of us learn more from the craft! I SOOO enjoy your humor too! Please keep up your videos & keep me giggling too! LOL You are a ROCKSTAR my crafty Sister XOXOXO
Love your video! Not only the wonderful cards but you made me laugh and that's always a good thing, laughter heals the soul. I can't really pick a favorite but I have to say DIY ones are clever and I like that you don't have to have a die to do it.
Hey JD I am new to card making and have found your channel to be so helpful! I love your attitude and am impressed by your skills in craft making. Thanks for this video I am looking into buying stencils and perhaps the stamping book that You used in this video. I am also tempted to look into getting some acetate strips. Man who knew that crafting could be expensive! Yet fun anyways thanks again!
I love the butterfly pop up card the best. I like how you share the mistakes too since when videos are perfect cause me to be discouraged when I can't have it come out like the person does on their video.
Hi JD, I liked all three. I especially like the 1st one. Im working on one like that, thanks to your tutorial. I like that I didn't need special dies. To get started.
You are soooooo Awesome! I wish you were in DC so we can meet I love you, JD! When I finally purchase some things & decide to actually do this...I MAY EMAIL YOU A FEW TIMES! Thanks for gifting us!
Twist and po are my fave card but I haven’t got a die but I will be getting one now! So thank you 😊 also I loved all the cards and will be trying the 1st card xx
These are great cards! And you are way too hard on yourself! I appreciate you sharing your mistakes, it is really helpful. And I actually prefer 5x7 cards. It's kinda sad there aren't more larger dies and products to accommodate that size. Keep up the good work, and please, PLEASE, be kinder to yourself! 💖
