Sugar Coated Peanuts | Candied Nuts Recipe

  • Sugar Coated Peanuts
    Ingredients:
    5 cups raw peanut with skin
    4 cups brown sugar
    1/2 cup water
    pinch salt
    In a medium skillet, add water and sugar and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
    Once up to a boil, continue to stir and cook over medium-high until the water evaporates and the sugar syrup seizes and crystallizes, then add the peanut.
    Continue stirring and the crystallized sugar will start to melt and caramelize.
    sprinkles with a pinch of salt (optional).
    Stir this to coat the peanuts until all the sugar has caramelized and no more granulated sugar remains.
    Remove from heat and then transfer onto a baking mat or parchment paper.
    Let cool completely and then break up nuts into individual pieces.
    Store in an airtight container or jar. Enjoy!!

    I just made this and it turned out well. But I had a few problems at the start. I followed the instructions to boil the water and sugar, but it started seizing up before liquifying. I had to add more water after I added the peanuts and cooked for a while until it dried up. I also added about a tablespoon on butter as someone else mentioned, 1 tsp of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
    It was great.
    I will try out this recipe again using your instructions and hope it works as directed.

      Even if you follow that recipe,it is not crispy after all.. I try it si many times but i failed.. The video does not show the secret how to make the peanut become crispy.

    Thank you for the recipe, I tried it out and it came out nice.
    Please what is the shelf life?
    Is it possible to add preservatives, if yes at what point and what type of preservative?

    It takes Just like 30 minutes to cook I was thinking it was easy to cook but I don't know how to temper the sugar because I don't know if it's Inaf to cook it but it's delicious and so sweet too sweet

      u can try salted peanut i do have recipe on my channel. or alternatively if u dont like sugar u can use honey instead sugar🥰

    Yung peanuts po ba is diretso na po ilagay, hindi na po iluluto first ang peanut? Bago siya i-sugarcoat.

      it says there remove from the heat meaning remove from the fire if u see the peanuts already coated and looks dry.. meaning its ready and cooked. coz if u leave 5 more minutes they start to melt again..

      Baka po na sobrahan na sa luto.. Pag nakita muna po na kumapit pa isa isa ahunin mona sya kasi may second stages pa kasi yan.. Pag na sobrahan yun sugar sa luto dina sya kumakapit.
