Just bought two carro ceiling fans. Had not setup the lights yet and this definitely helped me know what to do about setting up the specific lights.
Awesome! I love my fan.
Thank you for making this video, I've been waiting for some smart fans at the time I just been making my fans smart by either using a smart plug or using the bond hub.
You are very welcome! I plan on making a video showing how to connect this fan to the Bond hub so then you can also use it with smart things. But out of the box it will work with all of the voice assistances plus has some great features!
Fantastic directions on this video. Thanks!
You are very welcome!
Have you been up all night are you in Ga. It is 6:20 A.M
Yes.
You mentioned a connection to smart things - did this work? What is the link to that video? I cannot find it.
Good fan, i have one and it is connected to alexa - cannot figure out how to pair it with tuya. thoughts? Thanks
I haven’t done it yet. But it should work with the bond hub and everything in the bond hub will connect to SmartThings.
This is so awesome!
Every time I look up I am impressed.
@@SimplySmart123 I can see why you would be impressed. It's really cool.
This brand is pretty good. I purchased another one on Amazon when they have the deal.
They are pretty good. Can’t beat 10 speeds!
Thanks I just got one. Can’t wait for it to be installed by my electrician. Mine is the flush style in gold with black blades. I have the app up and ready to go along with Alexa.
Awesome 👏 You you will love it. I was thinking bad timing with it being winter but you will be prepared for summer!
@@SimplySmart123 I’m in Florida, I’m good. 🤣
That’s true! Summer all year round in some places.
@@SimplySmart123 The fan is up. I absolutely love it. The App is amazing. One flaw, the light on my fan has a soft glow at night. It didn’t do it the first couple of nights but now it happens more often than not. And yes the switch is on off. I really want to return it but my electrician can’t seem to get here. I have a week left, it’s been two since I told him. i wonder if I could take it down. 🤔
Maybe increase the brightness and then turn it of. It uses a very small amount of energy so a tiny amount could light it up.
How do I connect to smartthings?
There is no way to directly connect it but you can get a bond hub or setup a virtual switch through Alexa. It will directly connect to Alexa.
Is the carro app more reliable than the Bond app? At times i have to toggle a fan speed or light multiple times to finally get the fan to respond in Bond.
The Carro app is a direct connection to the fan. Where Bond is just sending the RF signals to the fan which can be limited.
I cannot get the remote to pair with the fan. I've tried all the tips. I hate this fan. Carro is the worst.
if you contact the company, they will send you a new remote. I did get one that was defective and the new remote paired immediately and has worked fine ever since.
There is a sucker born everyday. Do anyone really need a smart fan. 🤔 now that's being lazy...
Link it into your AC system, occupancy, motion sensors and so much more. Saving money, energy and maximizing comfort effortlessly.
Also helps in that you can turn them off remotely to save energy if you forget.
For sure. Many benefits of getting control over your devices.
I used to think the same, but no.
They are the best.
