This is the one that got me into (niche) perfumery. Singular and unapologetic, love it to bits.
Great vid. Never picked up on the amberwoods myself, but it makes sense considering its remarkable longevity.

Resprayed it out of curiosity. I can pick up the amberwoods right after the opening very clearly now hahah. Thing is, when it melds with the leather I get a "pissy" vibe which I've always enjoyed in SV. Thanks for the eye-opener! @@RamseytheRam

I purchased a small sample of Nishane's Vetiver. Im def NOT used to this type of perfumery, but Im kinda tempted to go for it bc I can see myself growing to LOVE it. I adore Encre Noire, but yes, very different! Was fun smelling Sultan Vetiver on my hand while watching this awesome review 😊

I have heard many people say that they had to smell this one a few times to appreciate it, but I did not have to. I loved it from the minute I smelled it! I love Nishane, and I tend to enjoy the different scents as much or more than their more mainstream scents. Unutman is another challenging scent they produce, and I enjoy it as well. Actually, the only ones I don't enjoy from the house are the fresher ones. I can only enjoy them around the house because no one else can stand to smell it, but that's ok.
P.S. I also enjoy Guerlain Vetiver as well, for the record.

Great breakdown as usual Ramsey. I’m one of those snobs who finds too much loud synthetics in a fragrance crass. I even get annoyed by iso e super which I suspect is why I dislike Encre Noir. Vetiver has definitely grown on me too but I need it to be sans loud synthetics. Cheers!

Im not a fan of Sultan vetiver. It has a very sharp green opening. I grew up in India and back in the day vetiver was used as cooling pads which were doused with water inside evaporative fans. It smelled heavenly. It has an unmistakable smell. It also had a pencil shaving note that i really miss in modern day vetiver frags. They are just too green. I like the woody aspect of vetiver and the note of freshly cut grass really offputs me.

Nishane fragrances you will always find almost at 40% less price than retail in the secondary market (not that you desperately hunting for them 😅)!! I had 16 of them, used be a big of fan of the house, now ended up keeping only 8!
    Nefs
    Sultan Vetiver
    Wulong Cha
    Ambra Calabria
    Hacivat

    Colognise (Extrait de cologne)

Before I became one of those unfortunate sensitive ones, this one was in my top 3 vetivers. Now I find that woody amber-vetiver combo almost ubiquitous in vetiver bases, especially in citrus freshies released after 2010. Meh. I can deal. The more important part is how it sings in the sillage. Ended up selling my bottle in the end, but kept a generous decant. It's still one of the better vetivers around.

    Hi Ramsey,
I want to express my appreciation for yet another fantastic educational video. Your work consistently captivates and impresses, leaving a lasting impact.
Sultan Vetiver resonated deeply with me. Its essence immediately brought to mind the delightful aroma of the Hamam, also known as the Turkish Bath. The fragrance evokes the invigorating scents characteristic of traditional Turkish soap, embodying the essence of the Turkish Bath experience. The way this fragrance captures and rekindles those memories is genuinely remarkable.
I am grateful for your unwavering dedication and creative approach in bringing these delightful olfactory experiences to life through your videos. Your passion shines through and enriches our understanding of fragrances.
