Essentially there’s 2 parts to the scam. Starling has fallen victim to the first part and then as a result you fell victim to the second part. If Starling had done their due diligence correctly or had better procedures then you would not have faced part 2. Therefore Starling are completely responsible for this so don’t let them off the hook and take responsibility. If they do their job it doesn’t happen full stop.
