I mixed the hoses. I had the primer connected to the fuel filter line. It would start but cut out after a few seconds. After your tutorial, I got it running fine!
Just did this repair! Thanks for the video! If you’re reading this, lube the holes and line (that’s what she said). It will make this project so much easier!
That sucks that this guy didn't put the gasket on between the carb and the filter housing. 100% make sure you do this guys. Two gaskets, one between the carb and engine and the next goes after the carburetor is installed and it goes on directly after the carburetor in-between the carburetor and the filter housing. Please do not forget this. Other than that .... Decent video!
.......QUESTION: when I took mine apart it had four sections of line with two barb connectors. The barb connectors were inside the tank. Is it okay to leave the barb connectors OFF and just use 2 pieces of line VS 4 pieces of line and the connectors? I'm guessing YES, but can't figure out why Husqvarna uses the barb connectors to begin with. Thank you....
Wait a minute so on the inside of the gas tank where the fuel lines go through the little holes there are no nipples that the lines connect too ? I was in the middle of changing the carb and i went to pull the fuel line out of the gas tank just enough so i could pop off the old fuel filter and put a new one on but the fuel line ended up coming apart at the hole it runs through in the tank. I assumed the fuel line was connected to a nipples at the hole inside. If not then the fuel line must have just broke in half right at the hole? If it's just one long fuel line that just goes through the hole as opposed to 2 separate lines that meet at a duel nipple inside the gas tank wall where the hole is. Nevermind I had the wrong idea of how this set up actually is lol. First time doing this I think i understand now.
Thank you. I've been struggling and banging my head trying to figure this out. Only one question; what about the fittings that are attached to both lines inside the tank? Sheilah
Was that a new Chinese spark plug that came with the kit? Just wondering because I've had no luck with the plugs I just throw them away now,the carburetors seem to work .
I was just watching your video. I have the same kit to do but one thing I noticed is that on my trimmer, the 128ld, I have connectors inside the fuel tank that the line connects to. I noticed yours did not have any connectors, just the straight tube into the tank. Do I need the connectors?
The line with the gas filter goes on the left or the right side of carburetor? You put on left side then switched it to the right side. Correct? Thank you
Does the return fuel line need to go all the way to the bottom of gas tank or just a short length? After installing a new Husky 128LD carburetor kit, my weed eater stalls when I tilt . Beginning to wonder if my fuel filter line is too short or kinked somewhere.
Hey great tutorials on the Weedeater but I wonder if the fuel cap needs to vent and also does the little barb fittings act as a reducer for restricting fuel flow? Thanks Erik
Do you always have to order the parts each time a customer brings you their broken machines (chainsaw, weed wacker, power blower, etc...) or do you have the spare parts on hand (carbs, spark plugs, fuel lines, etc...)? Since you mentioned Amazon I was just curious if you order only when needed. Thanks!
This single video has made 45 bucks in ad revenue. My amazon associates revenue is usually about half of that. But for arguments sake we will say another 15 bucks. Thats 60 bucks so far on a 13 min video. But again we will round up to 15 min. That is 240 bucks an hour. Not including the eighty bucks i charged for the job. Minus 20 for parts. Thats 300 bucks. How much do you make on youtube. Ill take my time thanks.

Thanks from a homeschool mom trying to teach a 15 yro son to do things for ourselves!!!
Love that!
You don't need the pliers for the accelerateter cable, it comes out easily with just your fingers.

Actually i used to lube the lines but i stopped. They moved around to much . It was easier dry.
Thanks for this. I had to replace my fuel lines and this showed me exactly what I needed to do!
Glad it helped
Thanks for the video. Very informative and helpful.

@@smallengineguys Yeah I was just trying to look at my fuel filter and the fuel line broke.
Thx for the tutorial,i'm about to order new fuel line but don't know the diameter i need to order
Thanks for the great walkthrough. Made the process much easier having an idea of what I was doing. Got my sub. Thanks!
Awesome, thank you!
Great video thanks. Awesome tip on cutting the fuel line on an angle. Mine had completely broken off in the tank.
Glad it helped
Thank ya. I appreciate the lesson. Carb on the way.
Rock on!
How likely are you to have to adjust the carb when replacing? Can I expect it to run good without tweaking the adjusting screws?
10 percent chance on needing to adjust.
Thanks bud mine now idles a ton better but didnt need a carb jusr cleaned with the service 👌👍
Glad it helped

Great job!

I never reinstall them. They just help keep you from accidentally pulling the lines out.
@@smallengineguys Thank you.
Great walk thru if it still doesn’t turn over what’s the next method
check spark first. then remove muffler make sure piston has no lines. change plug. then this
Svaka čast dobar je trimer sa ❤❤❤❤
Do you not put that little gasket that comes in the kit on the carburetor?
only the one between the carb and motor is necessary to replace. and that is only if it gets damaged.
Was that a new Chinese spark plug that came with the kit? Just wondering because I've had no luck with the plugs I just throw them away now,the carburetors seem to work .
ive never had an issue with any chinese plug and i use hundreds a month. all different ones
@@smallengineguys I'll have to give them another try maybe I got a couple of bad ones. Thanks for replying back.

No those just help keep the lines from being yanked out. They are a pain in the ass I never reuse
Son muy buenas máquinas pero tengo una igual pero no le he podido conseguir los anillo y los empaques del cilindro como le ago

return just in the tank sounds like filter line is issue
does it matter if the return line is in the fuel?
@@ryanfitzpatrick4927 nope
Another issue I have that I just remembered, the kill switch stop working? What could the issue be with that? I have to choke it to shut it off.
bad wire or bad switch. id just keep choking it off
@@smallengineguys Yeah 👍 it ain't going to hurt it lol

yes vent is in cap no fittings dont act as reducer
I just replaced the fuel lines and cleaned the carb and changed the plug. it runs but it'll turn off after a minute.
Carb
same replaced carburetor, fuel lines and filter and air filter and spark plug. still cits off as I accelerated????
please put something on the microphone picking up lots of wind noise its terrible
What about the plastic nipples that go through the tank. I followed your instructions and I have a gas leak.
they only keep the line from being pulled out. you should not have a leak
I noticed you didn’t put the nuts on the carburetor. I know this is an old video but I like watching old videos. Thank you.
11:18 they are there. I just didnt waste your time showing me wrenching them.
What’s the name of those pliers you’re using?
