The scale realism and performance of the UDR is well known, but I’m actually really impressed by how smooth and composed the other two trucks are. The TB7 and DF7 handle the terrain very well!
I think the Traxxas UDR is still the king. The suspension travel is just a little bit greater and more realistic than the others. They all look superb though, fantastic driving and filming!
Man I can't wait to get one, I'm on disability and affording one of those is almost next to impossible, but I've been saving up a little bit every month, hopefully in like 7 months I can get one!!!😎🇺🇲🖤
@@shawnortmann9662if you're an Amazon prime member they offer no interest payments and or layaway on a bunch of Arrma, Losi, Axial, and Redcat models. It's either 5 monthly payments or 6 biweekly. The 6 is layaway and 5 ships ships when you order. I see it a lot. They also have lots of great unadvertised deals and discounts. I got $270 off an Axial last year. They randomly had one color of one model scx6 discounted. They do it on a lot of Arrma models also. Walmart app will also have some smoking deals randomly. I got a trx6 G63 off there a year or so ago for $489 tax and everything
@shawnortmann9662 did you buy one yet? Its been 7 months! The udr is totally worth it. I bought mine and use a 4s battery, its a monster. Super fun to drive and looks amazing. Slo mo videos really show just how scale this truck is.
UDR looks better in slow mo videos, but... The TB7 amd DF7 are way easier to wrench on and take much less time to access diffs and drivetrain. Which means more time driving less time fixing. Parts and upgrades aren't as abundant as the UDR but I've seen plenty replacements and some aluminum upgradess on Amazon and AliExpress. From the center diff forward they're built like a race truggy/buggy. Steering is predictable with proven race geometry and a 1/5 scale servo. The aluminum top plate make the chassis very rigid and tough. The stock electronics are very good. Big strong 1/5 servo. Max8 plus 1600kv sounds small for 15lb truck, but this thing rips on 6s. And it has incredible low end, almost feels like its sensored. Biggest drawback is the battery tray limits size and options. Youll never be able to run 8s without heavily modifying it. And they're probably one of the worst sounding trucks in RC history. The horrible shrill sound the drive train makes will turn heads for all the wrong reasons. Wherever you buy the DF7 or TB7 you will only spend that amount to run it out the box and not have to worry about any additional upgrades, unless you decide you treat this like a Mojave.
Gotta say, my Kyosho Mad Van VE sounds horrible too, the worst I've heard, personally. Like a jet engine at top speed, it sounds like a gear failure is imminent, but it holds up..After I blew out the original input and ring gears, front & back. Replaced with the HD option, which should have come stock.
1: this guy knows how to đrive RC autos 2: The video is slowed down just a tiny bit for realism 3: Smart surface choice to accentuate the handling capabilities of the vehicles 4: All vehicles have well tuned suspension setups.
The UDR somehow a traxxas product ends up being the best looking at doing this but unfortunately it's the most unreliable and i think most expensive. I can't believe i haven't come across your channel before! Your videography is epic and i love that there isn't any music. I enjoy hearing the trucks run. Your channel should be way more popular. Liked and subscribed! UA-cam algorithm might suffer the same disservice as tiktok.
I absolutely love my udr. Beast of a truck. I don't mind working on it. It does take more time but its also a scale truck, power tools make it easier to disassemble the udr quickly.
Another great shot video, and great driving! They all look good. I know my UDR, and it’s the most impressive fast going off road rc car I have driven, also because it is challenging to drive due to being very scale - love it! Great work again!
Your videos are second to none that's why I'm a subscriber!!! Also the UDR continues to amaze me with its realism and performance!!! And I'm definitely not a Traxxas fan boy...js😎🇺🇲🖤
Something about this video really stands out - is the footage slightly slowed down to make it look more realistic? Because it looks very realistic. Nice work!
This video is made exactly how comparison videos should be made. Same track parts made with the three cars, same speed, same camera POV, no music because it is a comparison and you can hear the motors. Amazing movement and dynamic. In the video seems that DF7 has almost the same smooth dynamic of UDR. What do you think? How did you set the dampers? Many owners fill with thicker oil and more preload but desert trucks are very soft with fast bound and slower rebound. Would you like to share your idea?
I've reduced the oil in the shocks for faster elasticity. Of course, when cornering quickly, you need to be more skillful so that the car does not overturn.
Super bummed to not see the ultimate trophy truck on here, the Losi Super Baja Rey. It deserves its own video. Hope you can get your hands on one one because your shots and terrain are sublime!
Very nice video comparison, love it! Like someone already mentioned, i also noticed the drivetrain noises. Also think so far traxxas is one off the most scale realistic cars. But that being said, it's nice to see some competition and cars that are significant cheaper and offer even some advantages....
i was actually surprised by the handlind of the TB7 and DF7 i woild say they are pretty comparable to the udr. and may be the same with some light tuning. im sure rhe udr has had time ro settle in like most do over time. you should get the baja rey in there also as a comparism. the udr looks good but breaks way too easily. ive got sand dunes where i live so i wanna make videos like this some time when I get the chance. ❤❤
UDR looks the best from a realism/cinematic aspect; TB7 looks the smoothest; DF7 looks less stable than the TB7 and less realistic than the UDR bit looks like more fun to drive
Is anyone going to mention how beautiful, realistic and cinematic his videos are?
Thanks you for watching! Have a nice day! ❤️😀🍺
That is always one of my favorite parts!
UDR

Thank you for your comments. Have a nice day! 🙂👍
Remember, weight is key to realistic suspension.

all trophy truck are really good too, especially the Traxxas UDR! super realistic! ❤
Love the suspension on trophy trucks
Watching this vid reminds me why I love my UDR so much :) That is like the perfect playground, perfect terrain for those, very jealous :D
One of the best videos out there showing how great the suspension work on a terrain that's just perfect for them👏
amazing quality! like your set up to film a documentary, lol. Looks like the UDR suspension keeps the wheels planted the best
I’ve only gotten a few batteries thru my udr and so far I’m blown away with the suspention and how realistic it handles 🤓
Thank you for your comments. Have a nice day! 🙂👍❤️

In traxxas install sounds module? 😮
Super vidéo merci beaucoup pour ce moment de détente et de convivialité et de partage 😊
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. 😍🙏❤️🍧
Very nice location for these cars!! 🎉
TB7 sounds crunchy. Is that the gears?
It’s known to run loud iirc.
TB7 first, then UDR and DF7, but all looks really nice to drive ;-)
Thank you for your comments. Have a nice day! 🙂👍❤️
Very nice trucks

Very Nice Move, I love this kind of buggy.
Very realistic driving 💪 It's cool my friend👍😁🤝
I absolutely love my udr. Beast of a truck. I don't mind working on it. It does take more time but its also a scale truck, power tools make it easier to disassemble the udr quickly.
The udr looks sooo good and the udr is just a great truck look how smooth it is omlll

Recording model cars driving so fast is no longer an easy task, but you did it perfectly! Great video, great shot and of course great models! 👏💯
👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for your always kind words and watching my videos, my friend. Thank you for a nice day today.❤️😀
Extremely Amazing my Friend 👍
Nice drivers! Nice bashing!
Great video! really shows the suspension travel of the vehicles! ( I might have to subscribe!)
Thanks for subscribing and watching my video, friend. Thank you for a nice day today.❤️🍺
These rigs really scratch the " realism" itch.
They look incredible
Thanks bud!! ❤️👍

Гарне відео швидкі машинки 👍👍
Wow 👍 amazing work brother 🔥
1:43 that crash looks like a real accident 😳👍👍
Thank you for your comments. Have a nice day! 🙂👍😍❤️
Great video and comparison. That UDR looks to still be the king of the suspension travel but the TB7 isn't far behind.
Thank you for your comments. Have a nice day! 🙂👍❤️

The UDR is still the most beautiful to me to watch.
Even if I prefer to buy YIKONG
These look absolutely amazing.
love it . the suspension ❤👍
As always, awesome video. Really makes me want the DF7.
Thank you for the nice words and for watching my video. I'm glad you enjoyed it. 😍🙏❤️
What batteries did you use for this run on the UDR? Runtime?
Traxxas 3S 5000 mAh or Gens Ace G-Tech 3S 5000 mAh with XT60 connector, it really fits for UDR
Man i could watch suspension articulate all day
Glad you like it my Bro! Have a nice day! 🙂😘❤️

@@e3s-rc thanks for replying.
Do you think that the DF7 is less realistic to drive and see (live) than the UDR?
Can you share udr suspension setup?
Springs? Oil?
Great video!👌
Nice video, nice car
Love your video great comparison, my only worry is for the Chinese brands. What is the parts availability? What is product support if any?🤔
just buy Traxxas then 😂😂😂
Looks like the UDR has more suspension travel in front? It does look more scale while running than the other two.
For me, the udr is my first choice , great video.
Were you runing the UDR on 4 or 6s ? ( looks like you were on 4 for the udr ).
Super bummed to not see the ultimate trophy truck on here, the Losi Super Baja Rey. It deserves its own video. Hope you can get your hands on one one because your shots and terrain are sublime!
It's a trophy truck not a short course truck and yeah it eats these things for breakfast. Bigger, faster, stronger and just as scale.
@@CptAngelKGaming You're right, I should have used the term Baja Truck, Desert Truck, or Trophy Truck. I revised it.

Just awesome. 👍✌️
Thanks you for watching!
Very enjoyable video
Shame the DBx07 isn’t on this review lol. Good content though
👍👌
the udr bearings sound like they’re about done. I don’t know if it’s wheel bearing or transmission bearings but they still like they’re about done.
How fast was the YIKONG 1/7 4WD RC?
Do you film in 60fps then edit at half speed?
I read somewhere they edit the video’s so it play speed s around 70%?
What is the bronco built on?
It is available commercially: vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005005824619676.html
thers just something about the UDR. cant explain it..

How do you tune the udr suspension? Which oil weight do you use? I'm thinking about rebuilding my shock but don't know what oil they put in there.
UDR looks the best from a realism/cinematic aspect; TB7 looks the smoothest; DF7 looks less stable than the TB7 and less realistic than the UDR bit looks like more fun to drive
Sweat video….need the losi super baja rey in the mix also.
