this video is a whole week of uni !! I spend a lot of time at the library, studying, waking up at 6am every morning & then go to a cafe to work as a little gift to myself after a hard week ♡ i hope you're all well & hello to all the new friends that have joined us this week heheh

I needed to pause at 15:18 and write this to you dear Leah, I feel completely the same, worrying so much about the future, that it's hard to focus on the present things and what needs to be done. I'm 30 years old and I have a full-time job, which is not something I even like to do, but it pays the bills, I also went back to school and I just feel like I have all these burdens on my shoulders, of not knowing where to go and what to do next,, being restricted financially,, not having my own place to live, not a stable job..it's hard but I try to remember of all the good things.. feeling like I've missed so much and didn't experience enough because all I ever knew is that I need to work because I need money... I'm regretting this. But also I'm sure that every experience we have in life is trying to teach us something. Take all the time you need for yourself, everyday and you will eventually figure it out. You are doing amazing!!! Big hug

I just discovered your channel and usually I never write comments, but this made me remind of my own experience. I connected and I have to tell you this. I studied in Turkey, my home country, but grew up in Germany. I wanted to become a good teacher, the best in fact, because I am such a good teacher. Every student of mine was so motivated and love the way I teach. So after a while I have decided to work as an academician. I did a lot of work, worked with gifted children. Did so many scientific projects, while doing my degree and my internship. But something really bad happened which changed my life, so before covid my bf and I decided to move to Germany, where I grew up. While covid, I moved, couldn’t see my bf, I was living with before for two years.
I came thinking I could teach, do my job that I already had experience in and was loving so much. But turns out, my degree is not valid in Germany, bavaria.
I was so so sad, went through the worst depression, couldn’t come out bed and felt missable. All of my friends were working, building a live. I couldn’t do anything.
Now I study again and sometimes it’s sad because I basically learn the same thing I already know so well. My teacher are always surprised how much I know, without knowing that I studied this before. I am 27, now married to my bf before. We want kids and can’t because I don’t risk it, I don’t wanna risk not a good enough life for my child. So we are waiting. My mom had an illness and got very early in menopause. I am scared, that the same thing will happen to me.
But I am going, doing the best i can. Sometimes life doesn’t go the way we plan, the way we wish even when we work so hard.
When I saw how early you wake, it reminded me on those super early mornings, when everyone was sleeping, but I studied for my degree and to become an academician. Made me sad for a moment, but honestly, my life is so beautiful right now, I am so so grateful. ❤❤❤
Hi Leah, I really like your videos, especially your study vlogs and it's pretty strange bacause I usually get annoyed pretty soon by long videos, but with yours it never happens!! I completely understand your feelings and your doubts about the future because I'm attending the second year of university in Italy and I start asking myself what I'm gonna do! everytime I would like to do hundred of things all together, but obviously it's not possible. I can see in your eyes through the camera that you need to talk with someone and share your emotions; so, even if I'm far from you, if you want to talk with me, I would be very happy and I'm here for you! Dear Leah, I’ve been at home sick the last couple of days and somehow I discovered your channel. I just wanted to let you now that I’ve been watching all of your videos and they give me such a good vibe. I’ve done my masters in biotechnology so I can relate to your problems and your concerns. I was the most insecure person about what to do after graduation and it all came together for me. So I am sure you will figure things out in the end and all will come together.

Hi Leah! I’m going through the exact same thing currently. I want to have a career in the arts, but it’s so competitive and cutthroat that I’m overwhelmed by the stress of it. I’m worried I won’t be able to get a good job, I’m worried about if my skills are good enough, I don’t have any connections. I’m just constantly worried about all of it, and it feels like it’ll never go away. I don’t even really know what job I want to have in what specific art field. I just know I have this desire to succeed and go make art for a living. The desire to live my dream life, and to have the ideal picture of happiness inside my head keeps me going. Everyday I go on LinkedIn and Indeed and I save art related jobs that I think are interesting. I’m in no position currently to apply to them, but I save them anyway. Because it gives me a good idea of the type of things I want to do. Sometimes life feels so draining, and the thought of failure is so burdensome. But I just try to remind myself that I will be okay in the end. It’s not perfect, but it’s something.

I study history of art and honestly i have no idea what to do when i graduate because this whole "creative field" is so competitive and elitist. when i'm stressed out about not finding any job i try to remember that i tried my best in doing what i love and thats what really matter. we could find our dream job we never know ! let's do this :)

I've always dreamed of working as an artist, but I never really allowed myself to truly consider it because of what people say about how hard it is to be successful etc.. starting this channel has made me realise that there will always be at least one person who appreciates what you do, so it's still worth trying (: I have that same ideal life/dream picture in my head, hopefully we can achieve them someday
@@leahmegan If you think about it - starting this UA-cam channel is an artistic career. Editing videos, figuring out what looks good, different shots, it all involves creativity and artistic thinking. So In a way - your proving those people wrong. The way I see it - the real world is so scary, and it can feel so miserable sometimes. People suffer so much trying to do something they hate - but I’d rather suffer doing something that I love. I only have one life and this is it. If I don’t succeed as an artist now then I’ll consider my time and skills wasted. I don’t know if I’ll figure things out or if it’ll be worth it - but I’ll be glad to fail knowing that I tried and that I did something I actually cared about. Do you truly care about what your doing? That’s what matters. You’re right though - everything will work out in the end! ♥️

i’m about to graduate university too and also having such a hard time working on my dissertation because i keep thinking about post-grad…i feel like we’ve just got to focus on graduating, right? we have a little more time to figure out job stuff, and i keep telling myself i don’t need to find my “perfect” career right away.
yes, I think it's normal to try out a few jobs before you find the right fit !! you'd have to be really lucky to find the perfect job right after uni

I think having a snickers every so often is a lot healthier than forcing yourself to never have them heheheh

Heya, found your channel yesterday and am really loving your videos! And I totally get you with your fears about the future...I finished my undergrad in the UK last year and then moved straight to Korea to do my masters. I don't regret my decision at all, but I would tell everyone else that is thinking about doing a masters that there is no need to make that decision in a hurry and to really think if that's what they would like to do, just because (at least for me) it's triple the amount of work I had to do in undergrad and in order to get through that, I would say that one ideally should be confident in their decision....I'm finishing my masters next year so I'm already stressing about where to go from there, but yeah, like you said, we do have a lot of time to decide and everything always works out in the end:) Looking forward to your next video! :)

I'm in my third year of my marine biology degree, and I've got no clue what I want to do with it. but honestly, I'm just enjoying university while it lasts, and I'll figure out what to do next when it ends. it's not the end of the world.

Don't worry Leah, nobody really figures life out... often we figure it out as we go along, just don't give up :) those who "appear" they know what they're doing, are just appearing. Yes, there are many insincere people. (I also didn't have any real friends at Uni, just friends for friends sake, and that's okay! You'll meet your real friends, real crowd for as long as your heart is in the right place which I'm confident you're able to figure out) ... just stay away from mediocrity, you're fine as is it is and you'll be finer as you go on
Have many experiences - the good, the bad and the ugly, it helps gain wisdom

@@aineangeles2648 of course! I cant imagine how boring life would be if we knew everything... it would become so, stagnant? one of my favourite things to do is learn, I think I just need to apply this to my whole life - not just uni ☺
