Packing for The Ocean Race

Preparing for any leg of The Ocean Race is no easy feat. It requires lots of planning, especially when it comes to packing. There are weight and size limitations to consider - and a variety of offshore conditions to factor in. We spoke with professional sailor Annie Lush, currently competing in The Ocean Race with GUYOT Environnement - Team Europe, to learn what she packed for the Southern Ocean leg of the race.
*A few days after talking to Annie and the team set sail on this leg, the team discovered cracking and movement in the hull structure below the laminate. As a result, they’ve had to suspend racing and return to Cape Town to undertake repairs, which are going well. We’re glad the team is safe and look forward to seeing them rejoin the race for the next leg.
