I know that I'm 3 months late to this, but I just want to say that I absolutely love how this fight went. It clearly showed the two were equal in power and the only real difference between them was their time limits. I am a bit disappointed that the fight only ended because one defused due to overwhelming their fusion time with such a massive increase to power. Though my disappointment was surely lessened when we learned Vegito was soon about to defuse for the same reason. What I loved most of this fight was how both had the potential to use the same forms and moves to give us a more entertaining fight. In the end, I'd surely say a draw is the perfect ending to their fight and would love to see a rematch using UI and UE as their next forms instead of Super Saiyan and Blue. I'm glad to have come across this video, and I wish you the best of luck in your future projects

An example is Gotenks SS3, it is supposed to last 30 minutes but it says it lasts 5 minutes, so I already denied that. In the saga of Trunks of the future step that Goku and Vegeta did not have perfected the Blue and that generates a great wear of energy so Vegetto Blue would have a lot of wear and the fusion was separated by that, instead in the Broly movie, Gogeta already had the perfect SSJ Blue and that's why it lasted 30 minutes, Vegetto lasts 1 hour and Gogeta 30 min, Vegetto does not reduce his time for each transformation, it makes no sense, besides that Vegetto has the plus of rivalry and makes it stronger than Gogeta. No one is stronger than the other, they're both fusion of the same duo, only the method being different. The weekly shonen jump did scale them at equal lvl back in the promotion for dbs broly movie.

The old kai also said they will be fused forever which has been proven false by them defusing later on. In super, we did learn the reason for that is because goku and vegeta aren't kai and as such the fusion wasn't permanent like it was supposed to so i'd take what he said with a grain of salt if i were u.

The potara fusion triumphs over the dance in raw power. In DBZ old kai stated that the fusion is more powerful because of the rivalry boost of vegeta and goku.

From the way I see it, their strength and stats are completely equal. Gogeta has a shorter time limit, but Vegito’s Potara drain power faster then Gogeta’s body, meaning that while Vegito normally has a good 30 minute advantage over Gogeta, excessive power usage can cut him down to the same time limit as Gogeta, or maybe even less. If I need to give them more differences, based off their fights, Gogeta has more destructive power and strength, since his moves caused much more drastic effects against Broly then Vegito’s moves did against Zamasu. Gogeta and Broly were shattering dimensions or reality or something, while Vegito did nothing quite like that against Zamasu. But Vegito has better overall Ki control and the aforementioned longer time limit. Basically, they’re better suited for different tasks. Gogeta excels when you need something done and it needs to be done fast. Unless he’s goofing off for strategic purposes, he comes in, does his job, and gets out. Short time limit but much more destructive capabilities makes him excel in situations where you need a fight finished ASAP. Vegito is better suited for longer, more drawn out fights. When you just can’t match someone’s power and you need to be able to contend, Vegito’s your guy. Slightly less destructive power then Gogeta, but twice the time limit as long as he properly conserves his Ki.
The outcome was expected, since the Potara have a 1 hour time limit, and the dance only has half the time, gogeta would have to manage their power well enough to live through the fight whilst also saving as much time as possible, while vegito doesn't have to worry as much with that problem

Yeah, SSJB KKX20 is equal or close to SSJBE, but here Vegito didnt used the x20, he used the normal kk (x2) so is like that SSJBE Gogeta is 10x stronger than SSJB KKX2 Vegito and SSJBE KKx2 is 20x stronger than SSKB KKX2 Vegito
08:53 Another thing, the Metamoru dance doesn't have the handicap of defusioning due to using too much energy, the fusion last exactly 30 minutes. If you made this based on Gotenks from the Buu Saga, he actually said: "If i keep using SS3, the energy(not the time) of the fusion will be gone, and i can't fight Buu without my transformation" And you can see it in the scene that he(Gotenks) goes back to the base form and then defuses(due to time limit).
Well so would Gogeta. Don't forget the fusion dance runs out after 30 minutes and in the manga vegito lasted about 40 minutes before his fusion ran out. So if they're going of the manga Vegito has clear time advantage.

Not necessarily since for Fusion to work you have to be at the same level of power. Since Goku is stronger than Vegeta, Gogeta is basically two Vegetas in one. Where Potara Goku can keep his full power and still fuse making Vegito stronger than Gogeta

I think the second person is better since it not only helps beginners but also advanced people for it (: (did some research). and gl on doing this btw. What did we learn from this? Gogeta is stronger than Vegito but is hindered by his fusion timer being shorter. Vegito either stalls the entire timer and holds his own to win or he gets beat up, I have no clue who to deem winner lmao I still think they're both equal in their own

This is a great animation but lemme be non biased and end the arguments For anyone thinking Gogeta should've won, you're poorly mistaken. If you are talking time wise look at the fight with Gotenks with Buu and Gogeta SS4 with Omega. Both defused cause of too much power. That argument can't be used. Same with Soul Punisher because due to the Super Saiyan God ritual it requires 6 Pure Hearted Saiyans to create one Super Saiyan God. Meaning since both Vegito and Gogeta have access to it they are both immune to that idiotic orb. For Vegito fans actually happy he won, remember the Gogeta fans are right that he should've defused. But Vegito would've won regardless. But they both are useful in their respective rights so just enjoy the animation and quit this controversy. Pretty idiotic when put in a true retrospective.

Not at all, vegito just ran out of energy, and the potara has nothing to do with it. The kaioshins just say that goku and vegeta ran out of energy in the anime. But that’s just a deliberate nerf, since in the manga, goku and vegeta needed to master ssb to stay transformed, and that happens in the TOP arc, that’s why they defused in the manga, due to vegito’s stamina being drained by ssb. Obviously, they had to make vegito defuse in the anime as well, which is why he defused in the anime. So he only defused because ssb had a ki consumption issue in the manga, and the anime had to make vegito defuse too, which is why no real explanation was provided in the anime, though vegito did fight zamasu for a long time, not just 5-10 mins, since he was fighting zamasu all the time in the background when trunks was doing stuff Every guide in existence says the potara fusion is outright superior than the fusion dance, meaning it’s better in every way, obviously meaning the time limit too. @JARMIDz If I'm not wrong, I'm pretty sure Gowasu said in the Anime that Vegito diffused a lot earlier than he was supposed to because he used too much energy. Gogeta doesn't have that problem with Blue or any other transformations that we've seen.

That's DBZ Vegito, Vegito in DBS isn't overconfident and can get the job done. Gogeta will always be inferior due to the requirements needed to create him. You need two people with the exact same power lvl, correct angles and posture and a certain amount of power to withstand Fusion this can be stated with SS4 Gogeta and Gotenks' situation. Meaning defusing here was valid. Soul Punisher doesn't work since you need to be pure of heart and have 5 saiyans join together to make Super Saiyan God meaning Blue would not exist without this. Vegito has literally everything to counter Gogeta meanwhile Gogeta has nothing but just style.

Something that should be noted is that Vegito doesn’t just have the naturally stronger fusion, but there’s also the rivalry boost to account for. Even assuming base Potara and metamoran are equal, the rival boost is so insane that base Vegito would be putting the hands on a SS3 Gogeta.
when vegeto was fighting zamasu, he only lasted 10 mins when he was supposed to last for 1 whole hour, while gogeta transforms into super sayan blue to defeat broly and lasts 30 mins, I dont see how this fight was accurate but the animation was still really good tho, keep it up man!!

(No time limit) Gogeta vs Vegito made by me: The fight starts by Gogeta, and Vegito meeting, Vegito ask:"How about we settle this in a deathmatch?" (Gogeta nods his head). Vegito blitzes over to Gogeta with a punch, (Gogeta "dodges"), Gogeta kicks Vegito away, (transforming into Super Saiyan) "Vegito does the same". Now they CLASH! They start off with Gogeta going for a punch, (Vegito blocks), and kicks Gogeta (sends Gogeta flying) Vegito ask: "Is this all you got, it surely shouldn't be, considering they used (YOU!!) to fight Broly! (Gogeta glares menacingly) Gogeta starts putting in more effort, and now their tied. Vegito says:"Lets kick it up a notch". (Transforms to SSJB), (Gogeta transforms into SSJ4). Gogeta finally speaks: "Damn I haven't used this form since the 2000s", Vegito replies:So now you finally talk. (Gogeta laughs, and makes 5 clones of himself), 2 of them fly towards Vegito, while the other clones were preparing a "Big Bang Kamehameha", they fire, and the 2 clones are rushing towards Vegito, BUT! Don’t fuck with DB fans. They haven’t read the series. Gotenks defused early due to using SSJ3. The fusion lasted closer to 10 minutes. It would have lasted 5 minutes if they went SSJ3 from the start. Evidence being that in DBZ Chapter 295 page 2, Trunks verbatim says “I guess it’s weakness is time. We could only do it for 5 minutes. It even canceled our Fusion.” “It” obviously being SSJ3. And obviously SSB is a way stronger form than SSJ3 and has a power drain. Maybe not to the same extent as SSJ3 due to their further mastery of the form and it requiring perfect ki control to maintain, but it’s still a strenuous form to use. And just because Gogeta didn’t defuse in a MOVIE at the hypest moment, doesn’t mean he lasted the full 30 minutes. Of course they wouldn’t make him defuse before finishing the fight.This applies to Super Gogeta as well. He ended the fight instantly because it was the end of the movie and we had to wrap things up. DB characters are extremely fast and fights aren’t always as long you think they are. Biggest example being Goku vs Frieza in the anime.

This debate about who is stronger has been going on since the golden years of youtube! :) Also weird, since it was shown that Vegito would defuse after dumping huge amounts of power like what happened when Vegito fought Merged Zamasu, but the same thing couldn't be said when Gogeta fought Broly. you made a mistake in the defusion part, the metamoru fusion is a fusion that lasts 30 minutes, just like that, the metamoru fusion allows the fused entities to use their power to the maximum for 30 minutes in total, the potara fusion which, the more you use it, the less time the fusion will last, in theory, gogeta should have won if we are to follow this logic, after all the metamoru fusion would last longer and the potara would last less

The only ability that is exclusive from one of them is the Gogeta's Soul Punisher, because it is a magical ability that only the Metamoru dance has. Also, they power canonically the same. They are the equally-matched ultimate trump cards from Goku and Vegeta!" With that in mind, we can assume that Gogeta may have the advantage due to his personality and way to fight.

See, both the potara fusion and the dance fall apart when using too much power, Gotenks broke up, Gogeta GT also broke up, Gogeta Z/Super appeared in a movie, where the plot is more objective, so it wouldn't make so much sense for him to break up, but the rule still holds for him.
I am going with the comment that Toriyama said that a longer fight would mean that Vegito would would win but Gogeta would win if it was a quicker fight.
That’s in reference to Fusion Reborn Gogeta and Buu Saga Vegito. Fusion Reborn Goku and Vegeta are way stronger than their Buu Saga counterparts. Goku was able to shake all of Other World which included Grand Supreme Kai’s world, Heaven, and Hell, which is depicted as half the size of Other World in the Daizenshuu. While in the anime, he just shook the Earth.

What I loved most of this fight was how both had the potential to use the same forms and moves to give us a more entertaining fight. In the end, I'd surely say a draw is the perfect ending to their fight and would love to see a rematch using UI and UE as their next forms instead of Super Saiyan and Blue. An example is Gotenks SS3, it is supposed to last 30 minutes but it says it lasts 5 minutes, so I already denied that. In the saga of Trunks of the future step that Goku and Vegeta did not have perfected the Blue and that generates a great wear of energy so Vegetto Blue would have a lot of wear and the fusion was separated by that, instead in the Broly movie, Gogeta already had the perfect SSJ Blue and that's why it lasted 30 minutes, Vegetto lasts 1 hour and Gogeta 30 min, Vegetto does not reduce his time for each transformation, it makes no sense, besides that Vegetto has the plus of rivalry and makes it stronger than Gogeta. The potara fusion triumphs over the dance in raw power. In DBZ old kai stated that the fusion is more powerful because of the rivalry boost of vegeta and goku.

From the way I see it, their strength and stats are completely equal. Gogeta has a shorter time limit, but Vegito’s Potara drain power faster then Gogeta’s body, meaning that while Vegito normally has a good 30 minute advantage over Gogeta, excessive power usage can cut him down to the same time limit as Gogeta, or maybe even less.
If I need to give them more differences, based off their fights, Gogeta has more destructive power and strength, since his moves caused much more drastic effects against Broly then Vegito’s moves did against Zamasu. Gogeta and Broly were shattering dimensions or reality or something, while Vegito did nothing quite like that against Zamasu. But Vegito has better overall Ki control and the aforementioned longer time limit.
Basically, they’re better suited for different tasks. Gogeta excels when you need something done and it needs to be done fast. Unless he’s goofing off for strategic purposes, he comes in, does his job, and gets out. Short time limit but much more destructive capabilities makes him excel in situations where you need a fight finished ASAP. Vegito is better suited for longer, more drawn out fights. When you just can’t match someone’s power and you need to be able to contend, Vegito’s your guy. Slightly less destructive power then Gogeta, but twice the time limit as long as he properly conserves his Ki.
The outcome was expected, since the Potara have a 1 hour time limit, and the dance only has half the time, gogeta would have to manage their power well enough to live through the fight whilst also saving as much time as possible, while vegito doesn't have to worry as much with that problem

For anyone thinking Gogeta should've won, you're poorly mistaken. If you are talking time wise look at the fight with Gotenks with Buu and Gogeta SS4 with Omega. Both defused cause of too much power. That argument can't be used. Same with Soul Punisher because due to the Super Saiyan God ritual it requires 6 Pure Hearted Saiyans to create one Super Saiyan God. Meaning since both Vegito and Gogeta have access to it they are both immune to that idiotic orb.

Not at all, vegito just ran out of energy, and the potara has nothing to do with it. The kaioshins just say that goku and vegeta ran out of energy in the anime. But that’s just a deliberate nerf, since in the manga, goku and vegeta needed to master ssb to stay transformed, and that happens in the TOP arc, that’s why they defused in the manga, due to vegito’s stamina being drained by ssb. Obviously, they had to make vegito defuse in the anime as well, which is why he defused in the anime. So he only defused because ssb had a ki consumption issue in the manga, and the anime had to make vegito defuse too, which is why no real explanation was provided in the anime, though vegito did fight zamasu for a long time, not just 5-10 mins, since he was fighting zamasu all the time in the background when trunks was doing stuff
Every guide in existence says the potara fusion is outright superior than the fusion dance, meaning it’s better in every way, obviously meaning the time limit too. And we have already seen kefla not defusing at all after fight at full power for a while, only defusing after being beaten

Not even me hating but realistically think abt it through this perspective. You need two people with the exact same power lvl, correct angles and posture and a certain amount of power to withstand Fusion this can be stated with SS4 Gogeta and Gotenks' situation. Meaning defusing here was valid. Soul Punisher doesn't work since you need to be pure of heart and have 5 saiyans join together to make Super Saiyan God meaning Blue would not exist without this. Vegito has literally everything to counter Gogeta meanwhile Gogeta has nothing but just style.

They start off with Gogeta going for a punch, (Vegito blocks), and kicks Gogeta (sends Gogeta flying) Vegito ask: "Is this all you got, it surely shouldn't be, considering they used (YOU!!) to fight Broly! (Gogeta glares menacingly) Gogeta starts putting in more effort, and now their tied.
Vegito says:"Lets kick it up a notch". (Transforms to SSJB), (Gogeta transforms into SSJ4). Gogeta finally speaks: "Damn I haven't used this form since the 2000s", Vegito replies:So now you finally talk. (Gogeta laughs, and makes 5 clones of himself), 2 of them fly towards Vegito, while the other clones were preparing a "Big Bang Kamehameha", they fire, and the 2 clones are rushing towards Vegito, BUT! Don’t fuck with DB fans. They haven’t read the series. Gotenks defused early due to using SSJ3. The fusion lasted closer to 10 minutes. It would have lasted 5 minutes if they went SSJ3 from the start. Evidence being that in DBZ Chapter 295 page 2, Trunks verbatim says “I guess it’s weakness is time. We could only do it for 5 minutes. It even canceled our Fusion.” “It” obviously being SSJ3. And obviously SSB is a way stronger form than SSJ3 and has a power drain. Maybe not to the same extent as SSJ3 due to their further mastery of the form and it requiring perfect ki control to maintain, but it’s still a strenuous form to use. And just because Gogeta didn’t defuse in a MOVIE at the hypest moment, doesn’t mean he lasted the full 30 minutes. Of course they wouldn’t make him defuse before finishing the fight.This applies to Super Gogeta as well. He ended the fight instantly because it was the end of the movie and we had to wrap things up. DB characters are extremely fast and fights aren’t always as long you think they are. Biggest example being Goku vs Frieza in the anime.

Also weird, since it was shown that Vegito would defuse after dumping huge amounts of power like what happened when Vegito fought Merged Zamasu, but the same thing couldn't be said when Gogeta fought Broly. Here, we saw Gogeta defusing first due to the time limit, I would reckon that Vegito would've defused first.

you made a mistake in the defusion part, the metamoru fusion is a fusion that lasts 30 minutes, just like that, the metamoru fusion allows the fused entities to use their power to the maximum for 30 minutes in total, the potara fusion which, the more you use it, the less time the fusion will last, in theory, gogeta should have won if we are to follow this logic, after all the metamoru fusion would last longer and the potara would last less
Now I’ll understand that gogeta defused because of the time limit but the creator stated that unlike vegito, gogeta can use all the power he likes without consequences but still a great video

Gogeta is capable of doing Final Kamehameha(Created by Gogeta in a oficial game) and the Ki Sword(Vegeta's skill) as much as Vegetto is capable of doing the Big Bang Kamehameha(This attack was created by him during the Buu Saga). The only ability that is exclusive from one of them is the Gogeta's Soul Punisher, because it is a magical ability that only the Metamoru dance has.
Also, they power canonically the same. It was stated in a oficial guide during the DBS Broly movie exhibition in Japan.
"If 'Vegetto' comes from 'Potara', then the Fusion will result into Gogeta! They are the equally-matched ultimate trump cards from Goku and Vegeta!"
With that in mind, we can assume that Gogeta may have the advantage due to his personality and way to fight.

@@DerpySnek Taking screen time as an argument is a very common mistake, so I won't judge it. See, both the potara fusion and the dance fall apart when using too much power, Gotenks broke up, Gogeta GT also broke up, Gogeta Z/Super appeared in a movie, where the plot is more objective, so it wouldn't make so much sense for him to break up, but the rule still holds for him.

I am going with the comment that Toriyama said that a longer fight would mean that Vegito would would win but Gogeta would win if it was a quicker fight.
That’s in reference to Fusion Reborn Gogeta and Buu Saga Vegito. Fusion Reborn Goku and Vegeta are way stronger than their Buu Saga counterparts. Goku was able to shake all of Other World which included Grand Supreme Kai’s world, Heaven, and Hell, which is depicted as half the size of Other World in the Daizenshuu. While in the anime, he just shook the Earth.
