Just think the baby is about 34 years old now... What a wonderful video & hard to imagine the new modern Docklands was once so barren... A windy dreary & somewhat miserable image but in a funny way it is so amazingly nostalgically beautiful.
The video comes across as quite nostalgic and sad, but at the time that was the beggining of the big redevelopment...an exciting time if I recall I remember looking at converting the old Pump House into a Pub/Restuarant for Robin Hill ...ah those Halycon Days

Incredible film. Unbelievable to see big ships still docking there when it was a wasteland, before any developers took over.
THIS was my playground in the 1960s it was a thrilling place for kids, providing Danby the dock policeman did not catch you.
