    Great information! I've wondered about the mechanics of these enemies. I felt strongly that letting them perform their "heal" was a big mistake, but my friends shrugged it off and felt it was simpler to just focus one of the two. I don't know that this information will change their minds, but at least I have some good details to improve my odds in this encounter. Well done!

  • @shootingblueyes

    I actually thought you were supposed to focus just one and use the health equalization as time to resupply/reload/revive. I didn't know it healed so much!

  • @LemurMaster
    @LemurMaster 2 роки тому +4

    One strategy I like to employ is to tell everyone to focus the arbalest, while I distract the Lacerator with my engineer. A full volley of breach cutter is enough to get the pair to do their heal. Before they begin stage two, I hop on a short stack of platforms and drop all my proximity mines beneath me. When the lacerator does its burrow move, it gets a nasty surprise (with me jumping clear) and is ripe for a quick execution..

      actually hitting them in the lower jaw deals half regular damage, so hitting any other body part(ignoring armor) would do 100% more damage

      @@tychoplaysiogames7141 He is right, he said upper jaw is 50% more damage compared to lower jaw which is technically true if not misleading somewhat.
      If you hit the upper jaw you deal 100% normal damage just as of you hit the back. But the lower jaw is 50% less damage compared to the top or back. So half damage.

    Just out of curiosity, what is your forge level and what is your approach to the driller? I know that the experimental plasma charger can be great for mining large veins of minerals if practiced, but I'm curious which secondaries and primaries you prefer for this class and what overclocks you like to take? Thanks in advance good sir, my buddy and I are trying many different play styles as we unlock more overclocks and trying to master all the classes slowly but surely. Btw, I watched the whole scout video and tried the build, only difference is I'm using Ifg grenades instead like you mentioned before. In just about eight hours worth of practice I've already gotten to the point I can survive most haz 5s without going down.
    Rock and Stone brotha, your outlook and mindset is inspiring and outshines most of the other deep rock content creators when it comes to approach, doing the math and being thorough for why and how things are efficient.
    Even ReapeeRon has overlooked some of the overclocks and builds you've mentioned saying they're only for this or not really good. And some content creators have straight up said that the breach cutter is only good for dealing with single targets 😝 But yeah, I Respect your approach and wish that more players especially content creators would experiment and find these builds that you do. The results show and I believe it's how you're able to pull off things that most cannot.

    • @GamingExistence
      @GamingExistence  2 роки тому +1

      Off the top of my head my forge level is 73, 78 or 83, something with those digits! I have all the OC's of course and every engineer cosmetic. I read somewhere that before season 1 88 forge level meant you had everything, but that has gone closer to 100 with season 1. I have 36 blank matrix cores stored up ready for season 2 and the new secondaries.
      Glad you liked the scout video. I have been experimenting with the same build on Haz 7 and I might change away from hipster. Some people say about running minimal clips the same as hipster. Videos coming soon I hope with analysis!
      Really appreciate the kind words. I like to know as many facts and the opinions to go with them. Watching game videos whether it is DRG or not, an opinion can be helpful but some data to back up is impactful for me and that's what I aim to do with my videos.
      Just from my comments and looking on the forums, you see statements like, this OC kills this quicker. As you will see in my next video just saying something like that or believing it won't make it true when I do the analysis!

      Forgot the Driller part!
      Currently I go Cryo clean overclock, can't remember what it's called. Range one ammo one extra freeze and of course the fire it without delay.
      EPC with heavy hitter all the damage band fire. You won't be needing this often but when you do it hits hard. Freezing or applying it to say a shell back and then hitting it with the EPC for temp shock is nice. Fire and high damage nice against mactera.
      I never practiced enough to get good at the mining with it. I started to then the patch came in that scattered the minerals instead of dropping straight down in one big block. Also some people hate the EPC mining even before it scattered resources.
      Damage on the drills, vampire, battle axe and you have a solo tank destroyer. When playing in a group just remember you still have a team and don't run off all the time! I will share another unlisted video!

      Awesome! Thanks for being so helpful, responsive and kind. I hope you get a larger following because you deserve it and I wish more people would approach the game with the type of mindset you do, I know that if you got bigger it would be a tad more difficult to respond to everyone but even still!
      I love to play the game with all the different combinations and put my skills to the absolute test and hope to eventually be among the best.
      I will say tho, idk if you've experienced this on PC but sometimes it feels like the game goes into full fuck you mode during certain periods. Last night my friend and I played a haz 4 morkite mission in the sandblasted corridors (for a more casual run) and we ended up completing one of the hardest levels we've ever done even harder than most haz 5s we've done and EDD's. I kid you not, we were both scouts and ended up killing 450 bugs each, had to fight a bulk detonator, the twin dreadnoughts, a prospector and did a machine event all in the span of thirty minutes. It felt the game just injected some sort of drug into itself and went absolute apeshit because the two prior haz 4 missions we even failed, it felt like the game was on haz 6 and it's frustrating to say it was on haz 4 when we can normally complete most haz 5s. Sometimes it feels like the game just straight up doesn't want you to win and tbh I'm more proud of that haz 4 mission we did last night than anything else we've ever done, it felt like some of the videos I've watched you do and honestly even a two second error or freeze could have ended it for us and we've failed many missions before in the past that have been this crazy.
      Anyways, just venting and seeing if you've experienced instances like this where it feels like the game just straight up tries to checkmate you no matter what difficulty you're on. It's a shame their isn't an account wide login and progress save for this game, cause if so I'd totally hop on PC and game with ya, just don't feel like redoing this much on a new platform lol. Hopefully one day the devs will incorporate an account/platform wide save data system
      Rock and Stone brotha 🖤💙

      @@nightox3 It's the RNG. My spawn pool video covers some of the basics. In the description Ike the creator of the higher hazard mods has links to more of the data regarding how spawns work and the data covers all Haz levels not just 6 and 7.
      He thinks spawn size and how often you get waves is decided on map generation not each time a wave is spawned. I'm not sure I entirely agree with him but I have done Haz 5 runs which felt like Haz 3 and had your experience also.
      It's what gives the game replay value but can also get wild sometimes!

Just hit diamond promotion and player rank 150, only 4 trophies left to get in the PS4 version! Elite deep dives are mostly easy with two man coordinated team, dunno about randoms yet tho lol.
    I was wondering if you could recommend me your favorite or best scout loadout since I'm working on scout now for the all gold promotions trophy? Any advice or loadout tips would be greatly appreciated haz 5s are pretty rough as I don't feel like my setup has enough crowd control to keep me going without downs

      Still here! Had a busy work/life few weeks and also been up-skillng my editing and production skills for my next video. Hopefully you will see the difference and cross fingers it comes out this week. The extra editing is adding hours and hours but hopefully I will get better and quicker.
      As for the scout. I will be moving my content towards the scout very soon. I need to do a whole load of testing but my current build:
      M1000 hipster - damage, blowthrough.
      Zherkov embedded dets.
      IFGS
      That build will destroy crowds and is fun zipping behind bigger threats.
      If you want a different take. Check out my "Know your spawn pool" video. In the description I have Ike's hazard 7 run using an m1000 focus build. I can't seem to get on with focus but his video is someone who has mastered it.
      I will be doing full analysis and breakdowns on the scout next!

      Wow embedded dets for zherk, funny you say that, that's actually what I was rocking for scout. I read the description of the overclock and thought, if this functions anything like the executioner I'll bet it's good, and it is great for threats haha xP only thing tho, my buddy and I fought a dreadnought (the one with the run at you attack and large fire aoe attack) and it was such a pain in the ass hitting him in the weak spot without Loki and it felt like he was resistant to my dets compared to the other dreadnoughts

    • @GamingExistence
      @GamingExistence  2 роки тому +1

      @@nightox3 With embedded dets you need to take off the armour first. The armour on them kind of curves around the whole back and it's easy to miss a lot of ED shots into the armour.
      With hipster use armour break. Grapple behind, spam the hipster and you will shred that armour. Then when you position for ED you will see the damage! Especially if you IFG and especially if you IFG and freeze. ED can deal insane damage.
      I just unlisted this video yesterday but it is an old one I did using the build. I was still using Cryo nades back then and this was before Elites got nerfed ua-cam.com/video/ffaR-Y0P6qU/v-deo.html

      Hey man I appreciate your help. Always ask for your thoughts and builds because I find your play style most fun and I look forward to referencing your scout video until you release more 🤙 Experimenting with different builds and overclocks is what keeps the game fresh and exciting even after getting all the achievements (x
      I will say me and my buddy were playing a driller engineer combo, and we found out an amazing strategy that works for almost all mission types on any hazard level the bugs get demolished. Haven't seen other UA-camrs use this strategy with a group, but if you have a driller drill a tunnel with a branch off for a resupply, fill the resupply hole obviously with platform, place one platform at the ceiling entrance of the bunker, have the driller sludge pump the tunnel ceiling with dispenser compound overclock, then setup turrets and breach cutter inferno the sludge it's INSANE. Like literally not even oppressors can get through. Course the biggest flaw in this is you need another experienced player that you play with regularly that has that overclock to do something like this, but those types of new combos is what keeps me coming back to the game even three hundred hours in.
      Not sure if you've ever heard of this crazy driller engineer combo but I thought I'd share it with you and see what you think, it's pretty fun, perhaps I'll post a short clip of it on my channel if you're interested to see xD
