They don't make them like they used to. Frank Sinatra was such a smooth crooner. This is before auto tuning. Artists had to be really able to sing. And the lyrics were clean, romantic & really meant something. He has a huge library of great songs. Some of my favorites are "My Way", New York, New York", "Strangers In The Night", "I've Got You Under My Skin", "My Kind Of Town", "Summer Wind" etc.

The ONLY compliant I could even think of here would be the lack of the female backups vocals on “that’s life” just adds that extra touch. But like this is absolutely amazing regardless

Now i miss my daddy...he used to sing Frank Sinatra's I've Got You Under my Skin, Let me Try Again, It was a Very Good Year and of course, his friends' most requested, My Way. He loved Matt Monro, Perry Como, Nat King Cole and Sammy Davis, Jr.. I am now a kpop stan (exo only 😄) but my taste in music was greatly influenced by my father.

Smoother than smooth, Frank had some songs that made women croon. He actually did a beautiful versioin of "Killing Me Softly". (I will admit I love Whitney Houston's much more) One of my Sinatra favorites is "New York, New York". In fact, I think my all-time favorite of his. Anyway, thanks for reviewing music. I love that you review various types. :)

Frank Sinatra is my all time favorite musician, just so effortlessly cool. One of my favorites (and it's generally underrated IMO) is Girl from Ipanema, this is the definitive version (IMO) ua-cam.com/video/NldPFVKYmiw/v-deo.html

I'll admit, this is a BAD recording. Near the end of his career when his voice was weaker. Also, his nicknames were Chairman of the Board, Ol' blue Eyes, The Voice, Swoonatra, La Voz, and The Sultan of Swoon. His age, heavy drinking, and heavy smoking took a toll on his voice eventually. That and big band falling out of popularity kinda ended his career. If you want to HEAR his voice, listen to the video from the Frank Sinatra youtube channel titled 'That's Life'. That's an amazing recording! Franky is a GREAT singer to loo into if you want to experience an era filled, absolutely DRIPPING, with talent. Before anything like Pop music that's tailored just to be catchy, or auto-tune of any kind. You couldn't make it without ACTUALLY having a great singing voice. There was no help other than vocal coaching.
