Was at the Zoo this week and Hog Springs was bouncing! Pigs have really settled in, with the new built additions too.
Really enjoyed the tour videos, thank you. We saw your art in the gift shop too - a woman of many talents!!

They are so busy in their village now! Most of them have taken on the role of miners and train folk 🤷🏻‍♀️ a couple work in the Town Hall it seems.

These videos have been so enjoyable to watch, even for someone like me who is really familiar with the zoo. Well done Maxine 👏👏👏

Love from Louisiana, USA! I got recommended your channel a few months ago and have been watching every video since 😁 My favorite animals/creatures at your zoo are the bats and leaf cutter ants! If I'm ever lucky enough to be in the UK, y'all are at the top of my list 💜

Hello from Georgia in the US. We would love to build. An outdoor space for our piggies. We’ve been told it’s too hot and too cold here. What temperatures do you use as a guideline for your piggies to be outside?

I was there today and almost all the piggies were out! In the stables, the barbers, on the mine, in the veg patch, they were everywhere!! It was astonishing. Super cute. It’s fascinating how absolutely every one not only has a unique colouration, but the length of their fur (hair?) the style of their fur - they’re all so different!
One of them looked like a Donald Trump wig in the grass! Outstanding😂
I’ve seen people feeding clumps of grass to farm animals at Beamish. I always tell them off, get loads of abuse back, sometimes it gets nasty with aggro alpha male chav dads who really should educate themselves! I wish they had such signs at Beamish!!

Everyone knows better 😕 it’s hard sometimes but know that you are doing the right thing! People still feed ours even with the new signs 😞 the guinea pigs are getting so confident now! 😬

Is there any chance you could add more pictures into the google street view of the zoo? I´m living way too far away to ever visit in person unfortunately

Not sure if you know but the volume keeps going super quiet.
Scavenger hung sounds amazing but I usually visit through the week not the weekend, will it be around for a week or so after too please?
So many people unfortunately do harm by doing what they think is being kind, so thankyou for spreading awareness too!
I'm jealous of the goats play stuff 😂
I noticed the fawn without spots when it was still tiny, is it a common thing to happen?
I remember when Winston was a baby in what is now the native species building!
I love hearing about the individual animals, I feel like I know them all as I visit so often, but at the same time don't really know them if that makes sense.

It was a windy day today when filming, the gopro struggled a bit with noise! I’ll ask the question re Guinea Pig weekend and let you know! Feeding grass is a neverending problem.. people still don’t read those bigger signs wither 😐 glad you enjoyed the tour!

@@NorthumberlandZoo I think it might have been my headphones connection too making it quiet cause when I twiddled them it was better and I was meant to take that part of the comment off but I forgot 🤣
My pony's field is on a public foot path and I've have to have 4 different kinds of signs made gradually getting bigger too. And still I've had to speak to people and ask them not to and try explain.
Thankyou for asking about the guineapig activity too :)
