  • 💗Should I find out the gender of my baby or have a big surprise?
That is a question I asked myself time and time again in especially my first two pregnancies.
It seems like such a simple to decision, but to indecisive minds like mine, it was quite the challenge.
I have experienced both finding out the gender and waiting until the birth and even something in between. I hope that this helps you if you are like me and just can not make up your mind.
On one hand it seems so nice to be able to plan but on the other hand waiting until the baby's Birthday is natures way. No matter what you choose congratulations on your blessing!

I found out with both my 2 boys.. definitely agree about it making the pregnancy more exciting. And gave us better focus for thinking about names. Also it was still a surprise..just earlier.🥰
BUT if we have a 3rd, I am 90% sure that I will decide to wait this time. Reason being that I know I would be a tad shallowly disappointed if we found out it was a 3rd boy, as we will not be having more than 3 kids. But obviously once the baby arrived we would love the baby, and like you said, gender doesn't really matter at birth! For me it would just be the idea during pregnancy, and I have this idea in my head that I'd love to have a daughter since I already have sons.
Also it would be much cheaper to wait, as I don't think I could control myself baby clothes shopping in the baby girl section.😅

I love your hair like this. It’s very flattering on you.
I wanted to find out the first time and not the second but my husband is a planner and really wanted to know. He found out first from the doctor and scheduled a cute (small) gender reveal for me and our parents. It was fun and cute. I was happy that I found out because it took me a week to sort of “except” the sex. Of course I was happy either way, but I really felt like it was the opposite. So it helped me. :)

I kind of wish I knew as I’d love to be a bit more prepared.. but I am excited to meet this little boy or girl very soon and I’m sure I won’t care at all about the gender once they’re in my arms ❤️

First time in Switzerland we didn't want to find out but the doctor forgot and told us. "The baby is growing well, all looks good and it is still a boy..." I was glad to know though as I was so adamant my first would be a girl that it gave me time to become excited and very happy about having a son. The second time we had a home birth in Germany and I got to find our myself. A truly magical moment. Telling everyone it was a girl. I had to double check that "it" was not there :-D The third was born in a hospital in Scotland and we didn't know the gender. My husband was the one to tell me as I was half kneeling half on all fours. It also was a magical moment. A second daughter. We had a loss last year. But if we have another baby I am half thinking it would be nice to find out as we didn't keep any newborn clothes and it would be my last baby. But at the same time I loved the surprise. We will see. It will happen the right way in the end.

I used to think I would want to know ASAP. But now I think it would be fun not to know until birth. Babies don’t need a lot clothing wise so I’d just get mostly everything neutral unless I see an outfit that I can’t resist. Healthy is all I want. Boy, girl doesn’t matter.

I found out with 2 of mine. The 3rd one they were certain was a boy, they were wrong haha! For our adopted kids it was obviously different, we were adopting a boy and a girl. Then parents got pregnant. We knew about the baby before she was born but didnt know her gender until the day she arrived, it was such a sweet surprise knowing our 2 soon to be adopted kids had a baby sister, even more of a surprise that we would be getting said baby girl!

Hi Danielle!! 💜 How are you? Is your eye feeling any better?
I haven't had any children, so I can't say for sure, but think I might want to know the first. I remember with all of your pregnancies how you talked about those things, and how you mentioned about Leah, and you thought they spoiled the surprise for you.
Can't believe how long I've been following your journey though lol... I was soooo excited to hear about another American in Germany back then, and your experiences in general but also your natural style and of course all the baby stuff 😊... I do think being surprised is really cool though.
I remember the weekend you were having Leah, and me and hubs were on a day trip to Hamburg... and I was like she's totally going to have that baby soon, and kept checking my phone lol!!! We were in a movie theater, and I was checking it before and after the movie lol and then on the way home I was like ooooohhhh she had the baby lol! (: It feels simultaneously like yesterday and like a million years ago!
I hope you're well. My family is just getting over the winter colds, so I haven't been on UA-cam as much as usual, so I have a bit of catching up to do.
Your hair looks so pretty here. 😊 Are you excited about spring coming up? It's just around the corner. I'm so happy about it!!!!
I'm going to watch a few more videos now. 💚💜💚 I'm so sleepy haha don't know how long I'll still make it to stay up.... Sorry if there are any typos I missed lol...I am just so sleepy. I'm fighting it though, because work takes up so much of my day, that I want to have me time after! UA-cam is part of that! I was happy to see a video from you in my feed. Thank you for sharing your perspective!
All the best to you and your family! Have a lovely week!! 😊

IamKris411 aww this was the sweetest message ever! I love how much detail you went in about your excitement on Leah bugs arrival. I am like that too when someone I know is on the verge of popping 🥰🤣
The eye is still pretty red. I think it’s dry and irritated from heating and I’m looking into my computer screen more than usual. Hope it gets better soon too. Especially since we’re filming again today. 😆
