@@caldinagt4club similar, but i've to say the santafe was more powerful for it's 2.4cc engine. but then again, I didn't miss it at all, the 1.5tgdi with the battery.. seems able to provide enough power
It's quite a handsome car especially from front...The look & size perhaps are the pulling factor....& to top it all its lowest capacity of 1.5 will not be a burden on road tax...

I think it looks handsome, a bit more standard looking but overall okay. For such a big car with about 200bhp, about 10km per litre is commendable, about as good as a 1.6 litre car naturally aspirated. If it can hit near 15kmpl even better. 200hp is good enough for this size, about the same for the Santa fe 2.2 turbo diesel, also realistically about 10kmpl.I drive another Hyundai cousin, sorento 1.6 turbo hybrid, also about 200+ bhp and does about really 17kmpl, imo the face looks a bit similar to x90. I do like hybrids for their seamless start stop, and car parking, and on full hybrids can idle for a while on batteries, drive around the neighborhood on batteries. Mild hybrids are great too, all cars should be mild hybrid, even diesels.
Am getting 15 to 16 kmpl in mixed driving in my Kia carnival which is much bigger than all these cars the Kia tuning of their new diesel engine is so refined and use of aluminium block and am expecting 18 kmpl on highway
Hyundai Kia 2.2 turbo diesel is awesome, and with bio diesel price being so low, makes perfect sense, in Malaysia and Indonesia. Singapore diesel price and road tax different story. I have 2 kids who sleep in the car a lot, so we idle a lot. Normal driving days the 1.6 turbo hybrid does about 18-20kmpl. Plus Highways usually about 23-25kmpl. 17kmpl is a total, includes many many hours idling, and the engine only kicks in every 5 or 10 minutes for a short moment. Very comparable to Toyota group 2.5 hybrid, also about 220hp also about 17kmpl total realistically, drive that too. I also occasionally drive the Toyota 2.4 turbo diesel and Santa fe 2.2 turbo diesel, both does about 10-12kmpl overall. All very decent for the amount of the power they have, all about 200bhp except for the 2.4 turbo diesel and all does very similar 0-100, around 9 seconds, except again 2.4 turbo diesel.
They should fix the underlying issues such as poor aftersales, no spare parts, and poor product quality before thinking of going against toyota or honda.
Upgraded to x90 from passat, best decission ever..worth every penny, built quality, comfort way better than my passat
