    So much truth here. I have used it for my son and husband for ADHD with the vegan wholefoods diet in combination with exercise and behavior modification lifestyle. I work with them since I have a background in nutrition and as you can tell I research a lot and apply!

    Doc can vitamins be taken together with antipsychotic medicine and the effective of vitamin on the brain,pls reply tks🙏

      Yes vitamins can be taken together. It is important. However, that usual doses are not exceeded. It is helpful to do a blood test to check Vit B12, Vit D and folate levels as these can be deficient in many individuals.

    Can NAC and/or Phosphatidylserine be taken in tandem with Adderall?

      Best to ask the pharmacist. generally should not be an issue but individual aspects should be considered. your pharmacist and doctor will be able to advise.

    Hey, I want to know which mental health supplement is good for a person who was drug addict but now trying to recover.

    • @PsychiatrySimplified
      @PsychiatrySimplified  2 роки тому

      Difficult to recommend a supplement without clinical exam or history. NAC for example helps in addiction disorders ; thiamine is needed in alcohol use disorders etc

    Good video. I also use L theanine, Ashwaghanda and valerian. Dhea I used in the past. More for training. Don't know if it really helps for depression/anxiety. Watch out with it. Now it's not legal anymore over here. Green Tea is also very relaxing. About the fats. There's a diffirence between healthy fats and unhealthy fats. But you'll know that. 😉 Just subscribed. Grtz

      Thank you for your comments. Yes there are so many supplements with benefits. I agree with green tea and of course the healthy and unhealthy fats. Valerian interesting has shown benefits in PMDD. We will be doing a video on PMDD soon.

      Dhea has much more data coming out as it is a neurosteroid and has anti-excitotoxic effects. Important in neuroplasticity and neurogenesis. Not independently shown to work in depression or anxiety though.

      @@PsychiatrySimplified I'm meds free after 20 years cause of these suppl. It's a miracle. I'm not anti meds. But I had horrible sides and addiction from it. I use everything in cycles. Cause I notice some tolerance after a while. Lemon balm and Passionflower are also great. I tried it all with good results. 👌Very good you're talking about these things. Fasting also. And raising awareness. 👍We need more people like you.

    Thank you for your videos! I've noticed there are lots of papers about inflammation in ADHD, so I've become interested in learning about ways to reduce inflammation. I've read that Melatonin is beneficial. However, when I take melatonin, I wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep. Am I taking too much? Too little?

    • @PsychiatrySimplified
      @PsychiatrySimplified  2 роки тому

      Has melatonin been prescribed for insomnia? Do you experience insomnia without melatonin OR does melatonin lead to insomnia in your case? With insomnia, it is important to evaluate the cause as best as possible e.g insomnia with ADHD may have circadian rhythm dysfunction etc.

    • @adminteacher732
      @adminteacher732 2 роки тому

      @@PsychiatrySimplified For insomnia. I've had trouble on and off with insomnia for many years...treatment now is working, though. When I've taken melatonin in the past, a low dose doesn't seem to do much. I've tried increasing, but then I wake up in the middle of the night. I certainly have circadian rhythm dysfunction...groggy mornings, wide awake at midnight.

      @Kit Kat here is a detailed review I wrote on neuropsychiatry of sleep. I am doing one on adhd and insomnia but if you look at prefrontal cortex and amygdala aspects I connect them to adhd a bit in the article. Hope this helps. Hoping to release another specific one soon. psychscenehub.com/psychinsights/neurobiology-sleep/

    Bi polar is chromium and DHEA
    Scitzophrenia (mis-spelt) is taurine and oxytocin to talking /massage/ and socialising/vaping base glycol with organic essential oils which are oxytocinergic.
    And you can find the rest on naturopathic documents - whicb is like nutritional psychiatry done in the 50's before the patented money accruing industry obliterated the existence of the more effective and more safe branch of psychiatry i.e. nutritional psychiatry.
