Well done Earl, you have nailed it, right at time 20:20-20:35, also my philosophy. I raise St. Croix in central Utah on flood irrigated pastures. Just dropped a lamb off this morning at the butcher for a customer.

I follow a lot of homesteading and farming channels all over the country. It's great to see someone local being able to farm here in Louisiana. Would love to go and visit your farm some day. I keep hearing sheep don’t do well on warm season grasses, but obv that’s not the case. I’m getting Bahia established. Hope they do ok on it. There are also native volunteer grass varieties coming up

We loved our goats but like trying to keep a cat in the pasture. Sheep are so much easier to raise than goats.
