Glad you like him. Honestly, your comment is very much overwhelming as many people comment only on his technique & usta level. I have huge respect for the players who willing to put their game on UA-cam. MEP is one of the best by considering the comments he receive against his unorthodox playing style.
Thiem 2.0 - get to the net! You hit so many good deep pressure shots, and then just sat at the back and let MEP send back a weak shot that you could have easily attacked/put away. I know this because I'm guilty of the same thing. I hit great pressure shots and then wonder why I didn't win the point.
Thanks for pointing out. I tried to adjust. But it was too much noise due to grass cutting. I wish, we picked different time to play. Can you checkout other videos and advise whether I’m still lacking. I can definitely try to do better. Appreciate your comment
Ok, i've never used those. Davinci resolve is free :) Not sure if there's a spot inside of imovie or filmora to just edit the audio. If you can add a gain booster on the tennis audio, then use an EQ to cut the high frequencies of wind noise and what not, then add a compressor to the whole audio track it will kind of "auto balance" it for you to a certain degree. But manually adjusting the high and low points of audio is basically a necessity when using different audio sources in the same video.
Agree with 4.0 rating and Thiem 2.0 could easily be a 4.5 with a little consistency. to doubt MEP's rating just shows you dont know about mep. dude took down a D3 player recently. he out lasts most players by hitting one more ball (pretty or not) and beats them down mentally and physically by hitting one more ball.
MEP has very solid return techniques and out-front contact points in his strokes. If he plays more topspin forehand, he might win more matches over top players. Am I wrong?
Yeah. It’s kind of either way. he hits good forehands during practice & warmups. But don’t use much in matches. He might I felt this is working better i guess.
I think he purposefully hits the slice forehand, noticing that it draws errors from his opponents. When his opponents are not confused by slices, or come to the net often, I see him hitting topspin forehand more.
Too many easy unforced errors by Thiem 2.0 and no closing the net. Thiem 2.0 looks like a below average 4.0 level. He has some aggressive forehands but that is about it. Serve is good but not huge. Weak backhand, very inconsistent play, not good defensive skills.
I agree. He is not strong 4.0 for sure, but he is improving. Also, nervousness caught him little bit when playing against MEP which cost more errors than usual.
I literally know 70 and 80 year old players that can beat Ben. They hack the ball so badly it makes Ben look like Novak hitting ground strokes. I learned tennis back in the 80s from both hackers, and great players, and the one thing that I learned and use is you have to be patient and have a game plan. Standing at the baseline and letting a pusher, run you around isn’t a very good game plan. People can say whatever they want, but when you hit the court that when you have to back up what you say.

Very inspiring to watch mep playing
My Favourite Tennis UA-cam player...
An icon and legend...
Such an inspiration I learn from..
Always Exhausting and an honour to watch...

MEP does it again : ]
Yes, he is. 😄

Great point! 👍
is this like original thiem, or thiem after injury layoff? or thiem comeback rn?
May during injury!? 😂
@@tamiltennisdiary maybe like thiem playing left-handed cuz he hurt his right wrist
Any chance on learning how to balance the audio?
Thanks for the content!

@@tamiltennisdiary what do you use to edit your videos?
I primarily use iMovie or Filmora. 👍

Will try it. 👏 👏
MEP is such a beast

Trust me! Our team well experienced that. Appreciate your comment. 😂😂😫
Exactly my friend. He grinds you down from your high horse on the court
Tamil do you consider yourself a pusher or a counter puncher ?
That wasn’t a very good D3 player at all.
Nice video Tamil 👍
Thanks for checking out our channel. Glad you like it. 👍

I personally think that his consistency mindset would allow him to win with more topspin forehands, but also idk how good his topspin forehands are
I think he purposefully hits the slice forehand, noticing that it draws errors from his opponents. When his opponents are not confused by slices, or come to the net often, I see him hitting topspin forehand more.
that’s true. He wants to keep that ball low with slices & when you approaching topspin passing shot comes.
Is MEP natural right-handed?
Interesting question. I believe he is natural lefty. But I may be wrong. Thanks for commenting!
Thiem 2.0 needs to clean up his stroke mechanics because he hit the net way too often.
Agree. Little more patience & consistency would help his game greatly. Appreciate your comment! 👍
Yeah, especially his slice backhand. I winced every time he did it.
I have noticed that too. Great observation. 👍
MEP bagel
If you can consistently serve and volley, you can beat MEP easily
MEP is tha men!!
Yeah.. because Thiem hit like 800 errors...
that’s true. Most of the points are like, either winner or errors! Little more consistent would have made this set even closer.
actually, "only" 35 ;-)

Right, too many unforced errors. Not a 4.0 player
@@richardmerritt5517 Was thinking that as well. Find it hard to believe these ratings are real and not self ratings.
Find it hard to believe a 4.0 rating
I believe, High wind & MEP play style with low slices made him commit several errors. Usually, he is little better by my experience playing him.
Lol. MEP makes players look much worse than they are
@@ifeanyiikpegbu6465true. Try counter ball with a lot of backspin and low pace. Everything need practice.
