That mod is actually really cool. Last game with Pericles I ended up gifting all my Great Works to Mapuche who was last in the Culture victory, just so I didn't win Culture too fast. Making it so you can't accidentally win a victory is awesome and encourages you to explore all the facets of the game in every game, instead of just tunnel visioning one thing.
Boes: Just go double scout at the beginning every game. Me, getting horribly gangbanged by barbarians from every side within 5 turns of start every game: Oh ok.
yeah i usually go scout->slinger just because of all the games where barbs decided that I wouldnt be allowed to have fun today. Plus getting a tech boost for archery early on is really helpful in case your neighbors decide that your lands would be better off as their lands.

Plus I personally play with the settings world age-new and Rainfall-Wet,(another civtuber recommend this set up and I personally love it) so with all the extra hills and forests/rainforests scouts are much less powerful when there are fewer city states for fewer first meets and less flat land to utilize the +1 movement. That being said I play on emperor cause i suck

I'd imagine this mod to make it next to impossible to actually lose the game if the AI also needs to complete multiple victory conditions. They will almost never do a religious or domination victory to begin with, and the chance that any one AI manages to go Science, culture and diplo is negligible. This game obviously would have been a win even if the AI only needed to win a single condition, but expecting it to do even 2, much less 3, would take it 300+ turns (of you letting it happen without interfering, no less), if it'd happen at all. Don't get me wrong, it's quite something to complete all 5 victory conditions in one game, but the AI is just not going to ever come close to playing along with it. Could be interesting in a multiplayer setting.

Fun fact: going for dom and completely wiping out every other nation makes every other victory condition significantly easier, and reduces the risk of AI winning by eliminating them from the game completely.

Ehy boes, I really like your strategy to print units with free promotions from Victor city, making with terracotta army a +2 promotion pillaging cavalry.. BUT why not print normal cavalry twice, give them 2 different promotion from Victor city, then continuing pursuing in their own tree promotion and THEN combining in army, making a +4 promotion cavalry? 🤣🤣
IMO Holy Order wasn't the best enhancer. It's always fine, but with so much pressure flying around the map via Papal Primacy and Vatican City, I probably would've gone for good old Crusade to accelerate the conquest. PP won't convert many non-CS cities in its own, but just having consistent pressure across the map lowers the threshold to convert, and Vatican gets you the rest of the way. You can convert cities by retiring old generals, capture theater squares and move out great works to activate new GWAMs on the front, and so on.
I have a way to tactfully nerf serfdom: feudalism grants +1 builder charges, and serfdom now only grants +1. Or maybe +2 will just be more balanced at that point
It's interesting how different gameplay is on different speeds. The chance of anyone getting out two scouts and a settler before being discovered by the Diety AI is somewhere between 1% and zilch on marathon and 5-10% on epic. Of course, after the initial rush, the game is so much easier on slower speeds due to the player's massive advantages in war.
love your vids. little note i stole from that irish guy (potato), the district culture bomb diplomatic vote. 99% of the time the ai wont vote on it. vote twice on yourself to be 100% on getting it or once and be like 90% sure.
Guys I have question... I've been having a problem latley with the extended policy cards mod. I've removed all other mods, uninstalled and reinstalled the mod before but nothing just works for me. Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me. Does anyone know how to fix it?
if you haven't played with the expansion Gathering Storm - there are two more projects that are ended at the end of the game that are turn-timer based called the Exoplanet Expedition. once you complete that, then you win the Science Victory 50 turns after this as you are "moving 1 light year per turn" and it takes "50 light years" to finish the game. you can THEN unlock a project after this called the Lagrange Laser Station that gives you two projects that can speed up the light years per turn - and this is the reason why i have multiple Spaceports. You can finish multiple of these projects in one turn, which is what i do here.
