Looks like an older Zandvoort, before they upgraded it for the return of F1. Much less margin for error? There are some excellent Drivers showing off their skills here. Fun to watch.
These guys are racing with a lot more _vigor_ than what I've seen in the US vintage events, where they appear to be more of a _driving exhibition_ than racing. But then, given the value of the machinery on the track, I can understand why they use caution with their driving. Catching the video of the cars leaving the pits prior to the race was a nice touch to this video.
When I went to the AvD Oldtimer GP at the 'Ring' with my Papa 25 years ago ... there were extremely rare pre war Alfas from the thirties .. and these chaps raced them flat out wheel to wheel (and sometimes crashed) . hearing and watching those deeply red machines closely later in the pits I can never forget 🌹:)
Absolutely amazing sounds! The Daytonas look and sound fantastic, but they seemed to be overtaken rather a lot. Some nice overtaking by that open red one, # 10.
+AndreiTupolev Well, the Daytona's were in the slowest class. Laptimes 1:59.1 for the dark grey #36 and 2:05.9 for the blue/yellow #70. Big difference in laptimes between the 2, the drivers skill makes all the difference. Compared to the fastest Lola T70 #1 1:45.5. The red Abarth Osella PA1 was fast indeed. It became 3rd and a fastest time of1:47.9.
Volante79 even better I got to see the TVR speed 12 race against vipers and lister storms v12 in British gt now there is only two of them left in the world

It's all about front engine vs middle engine = weight distribution for cornering

Shame there were no other big players like the Porsche 917 and Ferrari 512S/M
Such a shame, I've only seen 512M and 917K on display or in demo's at Zandvoort.

Too much emphasis on the Porker Daytonas. There were a lot of cars we didn't get to see. I'm pretty sure of it. Otherwise a great vid.
Consider this: There are loads of YT videos to be found on the Lolas, but few that are found of the Daytonas at race speeds.
