I was going to make two small spice boxes but this piece of Black Locus has a large crack in it, so that idea went out the door. I decided to turn a mini vase 2X3X1.5 inch.

Black locust has a great grain.
When I was making firewood, I put some pieces aside for woodturning. These videos should speed up the start of woodturning.

I love the little design and shape of it! And don't we all hate camera issues? Reminds me of the time I nudged my camera and set it to record in 720 instead of 1080. It looked terrible! Nice work as always!

I've shied away from walnut oil due to the long drying time although I really like the finish...how long do you find it takes to dry?

I only let it set for about two hrs, and then I use the fine grit polishing compound.
