I believe that Russell Kirk had a more practical and restrained version of conservatism where it was about conserving principles rather than a specific political order or set of mores. He believed that conservatism was not an ideology but a group of principles to live by such as: prudence, community over collectivism, the imperfectability of man, etc. His "Ten Conservative Principles" is in the form of an essay at kirkcenterDotOrg.

Hence the rising appeal of third positionism, nationalism, attempts at describing neo-feudalism/monarchism, etc. It speaks to the intellectual midwittery of the modern left that they also claim the death of classical liberalism yet only propose bog standard Marxism with maybe some goofy identitarian bolt-ons like “Primitivism”.
Paul's back and claims the Christian attitude will NEVER dominate. You've Lost all Hope and Trust in Christ. Let me remind you that the Christian attitude will DOMINATE for 1000 years before those who follow Jesus go to Heaven. In the mean time, we are taught by Christ not to Worry and that He is in Control regardless of what is going on.
I could accept socialism but it must come with strict nationalism,a return to real values & traditions,a riddance of wokism & everyone can coexist.Very strong borders with expulsion of aliens, strict law enforcement and best military in world…that’s my utopia.Citizens would have a purpose,no more welfare fraud & assistance only for the elderly, the young & truly handicapped. You have a purpose in society or you have what we see today.
@@Paul-talk Yes,practicality is the reality & hence it’s a utopia.Personally I believe our nation is almost beyond repair with too many agents enacting the very policies(almost all social)that I despise. I just found your channel, thank you:)
