This was something I had to do for uni, thought I'd put it up here. There was a bit of a time limit hence why it's so short. Let me know if you'd watch some Berserk videos!

Great points on ethical selfishness. I would absolutely call for more Berserk and this dichotomy in particular. If only for a couple of strands in Ozy and Griffith's situations left unaddressed. For Watchmen, in regards to the plan, I think something definitely worth throwing out into the conversation is Ozymandias' last scene (in the original comic only). He turns to Dr. Manhatten after seeing just how well the mass murder has gone off and in what I must assume is an intentionally (on the author's part) starry-eyed way says "John, it all worked out in the end, right?"
Dr. Manhatten just tells him nothing ever ends before abdicating himself of the situation. The whole premise of Ozymandias' plan is for short term suffering to avert a long term one, and Manhatten almost offhandedly raises a point about where anything can really be said to be shorthand or "in the long run." Then Adrien is left alone in his study staring at a globe, and we the reader are left wondering if Adrien's assumed title has more of the implications of divine success or of Shelley's inevitably disappointed tyrant.
As for Femto, I actually do not consider him an inherently Apollonian character, if only because I think at the core his dream is indulgent. Aesthetic and behavior-wise you can most definitely see the diversion in form, style, and attitude between him and Guts, but if one recalls his talk with Ubik, you will notice the almost entirely solipsistic circle of it. Griffith wants to be a king, so he draws men, so men die, so Griffith feels he needs the kingdom to justify getting people he cares about killed in the very first place. Let me put it this way, if Griffith had to choose between the ordered, pictaresque city he has now but not being in charge of it or having something more like a perpetual eclipse or an expansion of the Apostles' gladiator pit and running that cannabal circus, i cannot imagine him choosing the former.
If any of this comes off as denigrating your work, it's really not, and i really appreciate your stuff. Hence why I would never mind standing much longer videos of this awesome-sauce.
I would love to see some berserk content.

batman's ultimate hope is to redeem the joker to some semblance of his former humanity--with the closest he came being in the killing joke. tragic, really. he's just too far gone.

Yes and no. But without a moral code batman...well what you get is the dumbass ben affleck version. It may not make sense but it at least gives him a goal to strive for even if joker is constantly pushing him to his limits.
