This is Harry at 10-days-old. We have a small herd of 5 Highland cows which include his mum and dad. Mum Peanut and Dad Huey are both Miniature Highlands. Harry has a pet home that he will go to with his half-sister Molly at 6-months-old

Petting is always kinda funny. Cause it's something that most animals can't do to themselves cause they don't have hands. So the only time they'll feel that sensation is when a person does that to them.
The mothers lick their babies so I'm guessing that why animals enjoy getting pet. Comforting and reminds them of their mother

Yeah the mom is probably used to the lady and trusts her since she's this loving to the cows. Its reallyy cute when animals trust someone and want to show them their babies. Like some cats and dogs do with their owners.

Welp I was wrong. Never knew they dehorned female cows. This breed and supposedly all female dairy cows grow horns.

I’m from Scotland and can confirm that Highland cows are just like dogs when it comes to human interaction. They are very inquisitive and friendly, I live in Glasgow and we have parks where they roam and you can come over close to them to pet. There is a barrier for their own safety because of cars .
And also I never heard them Moo for some reason , may be they cant

Mother cows are insanely dangerous when it comes to their kids - this is so sweet that she sees her calf having such a good time!!
That is because they have been facing dangers and beating, if rosed with love and care they don't even think of showing horns
I have a female that we got when she was still a baby. She is six years old now. She would not be aggressive with us if she had a baby. She would trust. We also have a miniature donkey that is her best friend. They get into arguments and chase each other around. It never gets ugly. I have never seen signs of aggression from Lucy.
