*THE LEVEL OF TECHNICAL PRECISION* of these people is off the charts - 90% of my sewing skill has come from carefully watching this channel...!!! Using the cards so that pressing the seam does not imprint the fabric - I've not even seen Savile Row tailors bother with that.

I can't find it either. It's like a felted / rubberised material - it almost looks like its sprayed on. I have seen it used in jackets I have altered. But all i can buy in the shops is the woven variety.
We don't want to make a trace (like a mark) of seam allowance because of pressing by the iron, this is not beautiful. That is why we insert this paper (actually this is the part of the calendar) between the fabric and seam allowance. Thank you!!
