Great footage, Calmac ferries are part of Scotland's identity, love being on any of them, always friendly people and the food never disappoints. Long may they sail for us when we travel!
Poor Isle of Lewis in the background watching as well! Must be sad for her Captain and crew, who knew the route so well!....................................old Tich.
Couldn't have put it better than Stuart Graham! Exactly how I feel about them. Never achieve views like that though in any of mine! Well done. I assume PZdynamics you are in the industry or talked nicely to CalMac?
Thank you very much for your response Terry! I am very fortunate to have CalMac as one of my biggest clients for my noise, vibrations, structural and machinery performance consultancy company. They are a fantastic bunch to work with and allowed me to fly around the vessel that had only recently come into service when I was filming. (you can actually see the chief engineer waving at the drone standing the helicopter deck, he was particularly keen to see the drone go up!)
Some pretty good footage there, but that heavy, Rachmaninov-like music did not sit well. Something less sonorous would have been more appropriate. You were, after all, displaying a modern ferry going about its business of transferring people and cargo from island to mainland and vice-versa.

fully agree!
3:13 - Wholesome moment there, the crew waving to the drone.
Amazing video, on the Seaforth tomorrow! Spent years travelling over to Lewis on the MV Sullivan
The poor Isle of Lewis has to sit and watch the new girl on the block, showing off, like a Peacock! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,old Tich
Excellent filming. Will be in the Hebrides myself in June, with my drone, looking forward to filming some awesome scenery.

Thank you very much :-) I`m quit new to this "drone-filming"... I have a Phanthom 4 :-)
Is that you and an engineer up on top deck? :)

Typical drone footage too high ,shouldn't have to zoom my screen.
